Nice location to stay at. Very clean and newly remodeled. Lacking gluten free signage and gluten free options. Breakfast was otherwise good

Definitely not a place to expect relaxation and / or top notch customer service. Plumbing was abruptly shut off with no notice at 10 in morning. Not an odd time. Imagine being in shower and then poof no water. Staff had no real reaction other than to have us change rooms. Poor handling. Hall had fans to dry something up. Reviews stated it had been recently renovated. Not sure how much by what we experienced.

Our stay at the Hyatt Place was perfect for our needs. They allowed us to check in hours earlier than expected, and held onto our bags after our checkout until we needed to shuttle back to the airport. The convenience of the airport shuttle and free breakfast were huge perks as well. We’ll be back to this hotel if we ever need to stay near SRQ again.

I arrived on the 28th at approximately 8:00 PM. The treatment from the front desk agents was disrespectful; they were more focused on a group of young women than on performing a proper check-in. Not only did they fail to inform me about any hotel amenities, services, or pet policies, but they didn't even bother to tell me where my room was. When I had to ask, they giggled and simply pointed out the elevators, telling me to go to the second floor. In my Booking.com reservation, I explicitly stated that I was traveling with my family and a dog, and I was assigned room 205.On Saturday at around 10:30 AM, we left our pet in the room because we were going to the beach (and I did not check my phone while at the beach). When I returned to the hotel at around 4:30 PM, my keys did not work. I went to the front desk, and they told me that either I had to leave or my dog had to go. At first, I felt quite embarrassed by the situation. I apologized to the staff and spoke with the General Manager. While I understood her frustration at the moment, she told me that if there was another complaint about my dog's barking, I would have to leave. I assured her it wouldn't happen again, and they restored access to my room.Hours later, I went out for dinner, but someone stayed in the room to ensure the dog would not bark—and she didn't make a sound. At 11:00 PM, when we were ready to sleep, the front desk agents arrived again. One of them approached with a disrespectful laugh and told me I had to leave or move rooms because they had received complaints once more. The taller front desk agent was more understanding and respectful, and even tried to translate for me. However, at that late hour, I was forced to pack up and move to room 105.I had actually planned to leave a positive rating because of how the afternoon issue was resolved—despite how rude the staff had been since my arrival, as the rooms and location are quite nice. But my question is: if my reservation stated I was coming with a dog, why wasn't I assigned a pet-friendly room right from the beginning? At first, I felt guilty thinking my dog had barked for 5 hours as they claimed—which I find quite irrational since she is over 12 years old. But later, when they forced us to move at 11:00 PM, I felt intense annoyance and indignation due to the GM's treatment and the attitude of the shorter front desk agent. Furthermore, while moving my belongings, I noticed there were other dogs at the pool area—perhaps those were the dogs actually barking, but management refused to believe that my dog didn't bark. The whole experience was insulting and offensive. The property itself is fine, but it desperately needs better-trained and more respectful staff. Thank you for nothing—you completely ruined my vacation days.

Very short but pleasant stay dropping off my daughter at school! Nice and close to airport, staff were friendly and couldn't ask for anything more.
