tripadvisorI had a wonderful stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites Streetsboro - Kent! I had a bad experience at a different hotel down the street, but came to the Comfort Inn instead and the staff went out of their way to get me a room and provide me what I needed for an amazing stay! The location right off the highway made it super easy to get around. My room was big and very clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the gentleman at the front desk was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. He was hospitable to everyone he helped. The free hot breakfast had a great variety of options and was full and hot up until the end. It really was a great experience all around. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family that come visit. I just wish I had gone there first to avoid the terrible experience I had down the street.
MoreThe hotel is centrally located and the gentleman who checked me in for my stay was very personable. My room was very clean and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud with the bedsheets being very soft, and the pillows were great, not firm and lumpy as some hotel pillows can be.I took one star away because of the bathroom, it definitely could have some TLC. The tub/shower combo had mold in the grout where the two pieces were put together and the floor had missing grout. When in the shower I didnt feel safe as I thought the bottom was going to give ways I moved, it felt as though the subfloor may have an issue. The fact that housekeeping didn't clean up the room during my stay didn't bother me, that's their policy for stays of less than three days. This gave me some peace and quiet in the morning.
MoreDaytime front desk mgr “Matt” was very personable & welcoming & helpful. He gave us names of 2 close-by, local, family-owned restaurants -both of which(Brown Derby & Rockne’s) were excellent! The breakfast offerings were better than some other Comfort Inns, thanks to a very personable & helpful “breakfast mgr”, Laura. Our room was neat & clean & fully-equipped, thanks to the housekeeper. I will definitely stay here when visiting Kent State in the future!
MoreNice place, staff was friendly. The room was clean. We were there to watch a college golf tournament, which happened to be the weekend of the eclipse so the price was more than I wanted to pay but what are you gonna do. I'd go back if my usual place wasn't available.
MoreThe phone system is HORRIBLE - if you do not have a cell phone - and think you can speak to a loved one from the room phone FORGET IT.. constantly busy- and when you do get through and get transferred to the room you can start a countdown when your going to be disconnected EVERY TIME- phone goes dead- then when calling back multiple times because of their phone system- was told “ too many times mam”… EXCUSE ME!!! I was only calling back over and over because YOUR HOTEL phone system goes dead during each and every conversation. God forbid if there was an emergency there - good luck dialing -911.
