I truly love how Boston emphasizes its outdoor green spaces, which includes the aptly-named Emerald Necklace, a series of parks bisecting the city. Each park is truly stunning and is very well-maintained. They're especially lovely in the spring, when the leaves and flowers are budding, and in the autumn when the leaves change colors. The parks can get crowded in nice weather, but there's still plenty of space for everyone, and the parks are free for everyone. There are plenty of benches throughout the parks where you can sit and enjoy the gorgeous scenery.

We are staying not far from the Emerald necklace and decided to take a walk through it on a Wednesday morning. We ended up walking from Fenway Park to Jamaica Pond and it was just a lovely walk. The trees this time of year are just truly special in this part of the world.

There are lots of parks in Boston. This one refers to the Fenway, a rambling extensive string of green spaces in the center of a lot of population and activity. Great place for biking, hiking, picnics. Can be a little wild in places.

We walked about half the length of the connected walkways and it was beyond stunning, especially since we were travelling in the fall.

Interesting experience biking for 1-2 hrs.Good for those studying landscape architecture. Use caution as cars and bikes often intersect.
