The art on the walk was very good, but it is not much of a walk. The art center was not open, but there was a street party being set up for later.The town has some serious history, but it has seen better days. It needs some serious urban renewal. The city is most famous for the huge refinery complex on the north side--enough said!The antique shops are not worth your time, and we saw no art galleries.... Not may good eating options other than franchise. The bridge over the ship canal on 146 is incredible! It is big, high, wide and beautiful. You can see is from miles away.

Stopped in on my way to the farmers market. Great artwork and lots to see. I highly recommend stopping in.

The gallery is a wonderful place to stop and browse while taking a stroll down Texas Avenue. There are very nice paintings, pottery, jewelry and lots else to view.

The gallery has beatiful work from local artist. The day of the dead displays and artwork was impressive.
