This gorgeous luxury hotel in the heart of Baltimore is like stepping into another era, with its Tiffany stained-glass windows and expanses of white marble. The rooms evoke the Art Deco era, but have a host of thoroughly modern facilities, including iPod ports, complimentary wireless internet, and flatscreen TVs. Amongst its many features, the hotel is pet-friendly, eco-friendly and 100 percent non-smoking. The staff are perfectly mannered and are more than willing to help guests with finding their way around Baltimore.

tripadvisorWe had a wonderful stay at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel’s stunning historic architecture and beautiful design. The building has so much character while still offering all the modern comforts. Our room was incredibly spacious, beautifully appointed, and exceptionally clean. The large rooms made our stay even more comfortable, and the entire hotel was spotless and well maintained. The location is fantastic—we were able to easily walk to the Inner Harbor, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, and many great restaurants and attractions, making it easy to experience the best of Baltimore. One of the things that truly set this hotel apart was the outstanding customer service. We received thoughtful daily text messages checking in to see if we needed anything, and the staff was always friendly, responsive, and eager to help.If you’re looking for a beautiful, historic hotel with spacious rooms, an unbeatable location, exceptional cleanliness, and outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore. We would absolutely stay here again.
MoreWe ran into logistical issues, but Kyle B was EXTREMELY helpful! He resolved our issue! We always stay here when we come to Baltimore!
MoreThis is my 4th stay at this hotel in the last year. The ambiance is great and the rooms are huge. Jay at the front desk is always incredibly helpful, warm and professional.
MoreHonestly I loved how secluded it is and quiet even though we are right in front of the city streets. I didn’t love the tvs none of them worked but it’s cool.
MoreWhilst the stay was pleasant and we experienced no real issues, there are definitely things they could improve on.The rooms have recently been renovated and you can definitely tell, they have been done to a high standard and the room was comfortable to stay in, however there are little things missing that you would expect from a Kimpton hotel; The hotel provides toiletries in your bathroom, however the hand soap is a bar of soap but we were not provided a soap dish to put it in, so it would stick to the worktop and create a mess. There was no bottled water within the room which you are supposed to receive, they do give you glasses and a bucket for the ice machine but with no water I’m not sure what they expect you to do with this? There were also no tea or coffee facilities within the room, however they do offer free tea and coffee in the lobby, but most would prefer an in a room offering. The towels provided had stains on them, as well as some of the bedding, which I would not expect. The stains on the bedding looked like dried blood which is inexcusable, and definitely did not come from myself or my partner. There were also nail polish stains on the bedside table which could have been easily cleaned up. The safe within the room was not working, which we were not happy with as we like to know anything of value we have with us is locked away during our stay, instead we had to lock in our suitcases. The shower in our bathroom made a hideous high pitched noise the entire time it was switched on and did not change with temperature, it was also a poorly designed shower as the water ran onto the window sill and outside of the bathtub. There were no slippers or robes provided, which from a 4-star Kimpton hotel I expect there to be. There was also no suitcase holder or any other surfaces we could put them on, so they had to remain on the floor. There was also no bin provided in the main bedroom, just the bathroom. Whilst these are teething issues and can easily be rectified, they are little things that should not have been over looked in the first place. I would stay here again, however I would want to know that these things have been improved on to make my stay more comfortable.
