Highly recommend this hotel, great service and the perfect location for exploring historic Boston. The pub attached to the hotel is also the perfect to cap off the day with a pint and some fish and chips.

Rather disappointing experience, especially for a 4-star hotel that charged nearly $2,000 for three nights.Check-in and luggage assistance were a 0/10. After driving several hours, I arrived to discover there was no valet or convenient parking. Guests with a park are instructed to park in a public garage several blocks away and navigate busy, crowded sidewalks with their luggage. The entrance is also extremely small and easy to miss.Traveling solo with my dog made this especially difficult. When I arrived and discovered the parking situation, I called the hotel and they were able to provide no additional help with my bags - even though my car was parked in the designated loading zone right in front of the door. They could not even bring out a cart. Instead, I was told on the phone to bring my luggage in by myself and someone would help & give me a cart when I got inside. Despite visibly struggling directly in front of the check-in counter, no employee offered to help. I had to explicitly ask for the assistance again at the check-in desk while struggling to hold everything. Then, the employee at the reception/check-in told me there was a luggage cart in the common room behind him. Again, no offer to help while I was having trouble and things kept falling out of my arms. There also appeared to be only one luggage cart available, so if someone else was using it then you were out of luck.Checking out was just as stressful. I had to make multiple trips between the hotel and my car, which was parked several blocks away in a public garage while also carrying my luggage/bags and also managing my dog on a leash. Navigating the crowded, busy streets repeatedly with all my belongings was exhausting. The lack of convenient loading and unloading options made both arrival and departure incredibly frustrating. The hotel's lobby is also small, cramped and not particularly accessibility-friendly. The entrance, lobby, hallways, and corners are all very narrow. The elevators are slow, causing the tiny lobby to become overcrowded with guests practically packed like sardines. I personally witnessed wheelchair users struggling to enter the lobby, along with elderly guests having difficulty managing their luggage. Security and cigarette smoke were additional concerns. One elevator did not appear to require room-key access to reach guest floors, raising questions about security. People frequently smoked directly outside the main entrance, causing the entranceway and lobby to reek of cigarettes. Guests shouldn't have to walk through secondhand smoke just to access their accommodations. The room itself also disappointed me. The bathroom seemed dirty & outdated, especially with a toilet that reminded me of one you would find in a public restroom. Both the bedside outlet box and bathroom outlet were nonfunctional, leaving only one working outlet by the desk. I eventually was able to reset the outlet on the nightstand after a couple days, but the reset button on the bathroom one was cracked - leaving it completely nonfunctional throughout my stay. This was particularly disappointing considering I paid extra for an upgraded Superior room. The only positive was that nighttime noise wasn't an issue since the street the hotel is located on is rather secluded & quiet. And the location was pretty central. I was able to walk around everywhere and close easy access to the T (subway system). All in all, I don't think this hotel was worth the price or even deserves a 4-star rating. I paid nearly as much for these three nights as I did for a 10-night hotel stay in Hawaii, yet the accommodations and service were nowhere near comparable. Between the stressful arrival and departure, lack of assistance, accessibility concerns, cigarette smoke, and poorly maintained room...nothing about my experience justified the price or 4-star rating. I unfortunately would not recommend this property - especially to anyone traveling with their own car, solo travelers, or anyone with accessibility needs.

Reasonably priced (within Boston's expensive hotel market). My room was small but super clean & comfy, just big enough for a king bed, desk surface, rolling desk chair, wall-mounted TV screen, closet & bathroom. Nice soap, shampoo, conditioner provided. No easy chair. Drawback: No dresser or luggage rack, so suitcase had to be opened & used on floor. Wifi seemed fast & robust. A hallway station dispensed free, purified, chilled water. It even provided plastic water bottles in case you did not bring your own. The club room off the lobby was a comfortable place to sit, meet friends, or enjoy coffee or tea. Convenient white curb passenger zone out front, so easy pickup or dropoff by taxi or rideshare. Walking distance to Walgreens, CVS, other shops. Seemed like a safe neighborhood. Guests were a mix of tech bros on business trips and senior citizens returning from or heading to cruise ships. Front desk staff were cheerful and helpful. Highly recommend.
