The lady who gave the tour was very nice and very informative. She took us to different places in the historic district around downtown. She told of murders and other crimes that have taken place over the years. Was really bumed we did not get to go into any of the hanted places because it would of made the tour that much better. I would of loved to go in the seven sisters inn or the old Peter dinkles restaurant. Lots of walking is involed we did not mind it but she has had people complain before. For $10 its not bad and it was a fun evening in downtown ocala learning about something new.

We finally went to the Ocala Ghost Walk and Historical Tour in early July. I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately it was somewhat disappointing although the price is great. Let me explain why; 1) Everyone showed up as a downtown shop and the tour person was on-time which was great - but she seemed thrown off by the amount of people first of all - as if it was an inconvenience to her. (Makes me wonder why they kept selling tickets if there is a limit of persons). 2) She explained the route - which was great and asked everyone to follow along with her and she would stop at the various places of interest. Unfortunately she was very difficult to hear - if you were not walking right next to her you could not hear her. I am surprised she didn't have microphone or something considering it's a professional tour. 3) The route was a great route and there were some good nuggets of information that she shared. Unfortunately many times there was really nothing interesting about a place that we stopped - we just stopped because it was a cool looking house etc. 3) the length and the time of the walk - about 1 hour is perfect. Any more would be too much as it was kinda boring and any less would feel like a rip off - even though it was just $10 for adults (kids free). Overall I gave it 3 stars because it was a cool route and there were some cool historical bits of information shared and it was low price - so I looked at it like a nice nighttime walk w/ a pleasant group of people where some historical info was shared.
