tripadvisorThe Grove was very clean, attractive and well maintained. It’s almost like an amusement park mall because it looks like a little town. The Farmer’s Market was so cute and unique. There were TONS of foods and items to explore. The shopping was great- we spent a lot. There were many European accents and languages spoken by fellow shoppers, and it made me feel so good that people were traveling internationally to visit us in CA. The Apple Store is soooooo huge with a breathtaking tree design. Also, the location is great so visitors can see other tourist destinations like nearby LACMA. There is also an Erewhon nearby, which is fun to browse. Too expensive to feel good about, but it’s funny to laugh about the $69.00 steak and the $51 cheese plates. The only bad thing is - the PRICE OF PARKING is really outrageous. We were there for 5 hours and parking was almost $40!
MoreBeside original farmer’s Market & a couple blocks from Page Museum in LaBrea, close (a block) to the exit, you’ll likely walk in high 11 UV (Canadian Science/invented) measurement, off-scale. the Grove’s really like an outdoor mall version (Yorkville, cf. the first North American indoor Yorkdale Mall, Toronto), then La Brea, Ca. I rated it highly since I liked the part of Grove @LaLaLand—far opposite end of the mall from Nike and Caruso valet/Parkade, built in 2002. Next to Williams Sonoma and the original farmer’s Market, Eeseoul (facing quieter Sephora) or Korean Laneige is there beside the Canadian stores (Lululemon; Aritzia). Women were given makeovers, K-beauty and men’s facial or norigae crafts upstairs. The Candy store is also a hit. To return in searing heat to the other La Brea parkade at Wiltshire Blvd, it’s easier to rent a scooter. Bring cash if you’ll eat at the cheaper Market after a day of outdoor shopping!
MoreThe Grove and the adjacent Original Farmers Market represent an absolute must visit destination in Los Angeles, and it remains one of our favorite spots to revisit whenever we are in the area. It is a seamless blend of two distinct vibes: the charming, historic, and rustic spirit of the Original Farmers Market, which has been a local institution since 1934 and the upscale, modern open air shopping complex that defines The Grove. The Original Farmers Market is a treasure trove of diverse artisanal shops, incredible specialty food stalls, and excellent restaurants. The absolute standout favorite for us is always the Brazilian BBQ at Pampas Grill, which consistently draws a massive, well deserved line. Beyond the BBQ, the market is home to legendary donut from Bob’s Coffee & Doughnuts, and for a fantastic authentic touch, we love visiting Monsieur Marcel Bistro, a wonderful French market and restaurant. In contrast, the newer section of The Grove is dominated by high end flagship stores like Apple, Barnes & Noble, and various luxury retailers. While the shopping is top tier, the heart of this section is undoubtedly the central fountain area, complete with its beautiful gardens and choreographed dancing fountain. The Grove is also a renowned celebrity hotspot, we have personally spotted several famous faces strolling through the area during our visits. For families, the free, vintage style trolley that runs from one end of the complex to the other is a highlight for the kids.Pro Tip: If you are in Southern California during the holiday season, this place is non negotiable. Around Christmas, the entire property transforms into a legitimate winter wonderland featuring festive holiday decorations, a massive tree, a Santa’s house, and even scheduled snow fall, it is easily one of the most magical experiences in Los Angeles.
MoreThe Grove is such a perfect spot for shopping with friends or family. You can take your time to relax and enjoy a chill afternoon here.
MoreThe Grove is a nice outdoor mall with a mix of high end stores. Around the holidays, especially at Christmas, the decorations are colorful and festive, which makes it a fun place to walk around. There’s a good movie theater and lots of places to eat. The Original Farmers Market is also here, it has a bunch of different food options, and the people working there are usually pretty friendly.
