We rented two bikes and took the route suggested by the bike shop. We went across the Steel Bridge and Up and Down the River Front on both sides. We also rode across the suspension bridge. Great ride and great bikes.

I've always seen the tourists renting bikes here, for years, surveys and tandems and whatnot, but in all that time I wasn't aware that it was also a tiny bike repair shop. After a little collision on the waterfront (a story for another time), I needed some help. I was resigning myself to carrying the bike to my own neighborhood bike shop, when I spotted the little green kiosk under the neon rose. I thought 'can't hurt to ask' ... I asked nicely for the tools I needed, and they kindly lent them. A few turns with a vise grip, and some air for the tire, and I was able to roll under my own power. So maybe I just asked the right person on the right day? I don't know. But anyway, I can say that Kerr Bikes is more than just a tourist service and a ride around the esplanade. Thumbs up!

What a waist of money. We rented a double surrey bike believing it would be a great thing to do I portland. It turned out to be a nightmare. First of all they give us a bike with a flat tire (we didn't notice until someone hollered at us while passing us). Secondly the bike has no gears !! Even peddling on a straight surface felt terrible, and we are all in good shape and good bikers. Do not rent here. When we turned in the bike and made the complaint about the flat tire they young guy at the counter tried to blame it on us. When I asked for the managers info he said he couldn't give it to us and refused to give any contact information. Instead he told us to leave a review which we are doing now.

We rented a bike today for 1 hour and had a blast. It's an amazing way to see all the bridges. Fun for little kids, too. All profits go to charity.

They have various options single rider bicycles and family bikes. The Guy at the counter helped me with a good route and also suggested the best way to take. 10 bucks for one hour seemed a little more considering the condition of the bike (Single Rider Bicycle).
