tripadvisorWe were staying in Driggs but looking for something to do in Rexburg and found this little gem of a museum. The aircraft, jeeps and even the Mustang were all very cool to see, but that’s just a small part of this place. The amount of memorabilia from the civil war to Iraqi Freedom is almost overwhelming. We had the best time seeing all the various gas masks, rifles, uniforms, saddles… The woman there said she could give us a tour or just answer questions. I learned so much, she was amazing. As the spouse of a retired US Coastguard officer, we love visiting special little museums like this one. I hope to come back and look again , I’m sure I missed something. To quote Billie Holiday…I’ll be seeing you…
MoreGreat little museum with a number of military planes, vehicles, as well as a large collection of military artifacts. We were told the upstairs collection is owned by a family and it is extensive. With items arraigned in chronological order and include everything from uniforms, to currencies used during occupied war times, to military equipment. It is an impressive collection! The gentleman working that day was very friendly and knowledgeable! This museum is currently in an unmarked building and we almost missed it. Worth a stop!
MoreThe place seems rather unassuming from the outside but the collected history in this place is very impressive. This place is definitely an example of quality over quantity. There a not a lot of airplanes in the hanger but the ones that are there all have an amazing story to tell. They also have a MASH helicopter that you can sit in, the kids love that one. There is a small upstairs gallery that houses uniforms, weapons and almost anything in between that you can think of in terms of military historical artifacts. A very impressive collection. The staff was beyond friendly and enjoyed sharing the stories about the different airplanes and other parts of the museum displays. I would highly recommend exploring this little hidden treasure if you are into world war 2 history and/or airplanes.
MoreA great little museum with immaculate aircraft and staff that were eager to help. A really top experience that I would most definitely recommend. Fabulous visit.
MoreWe thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this museum. Given its size, our expectatios weren't very high, but it was a great experience. In addition to a number of aircraft, we really enjoyed the 2nd floor display of military items, particularly the military uniforms from different eras and countries.
