Stayed there one night in October for the Kentucky football game. The public rooms were nice and clean. The hotel room itself was clean and I did not notice the noise factor that others complained of even though it was on the highway side. The AC was very noisy cutting on and off and that obliterated any outside noise. We had a sound machine which helped. The lady that checked us in was not very friendly although the staff at checkout were very friendly and helpful. The price was good compared with other hotels at a busy weekend in Lexington. The breakfast was somewhat disappointing and subpar compared with most. On the plus side there was a good selection and the pocket waffle you heat in the toaster was very tasty. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The scrambled eggs were definitely powdered and tasted strange. The oatmeal was not fully cooked and very watery. The bacon was thin wisps and just okay. Overall I would recommend staying here but don't expect much with the breakfast.

During my stay at Hyatt Place, I experienced a number of inconveniences. First, the carpet was extremely discolored a d had multiple stains. There was mold in the bathroom. The biggest inconvenience was that the shower did not drain properly, so my friend and I were unable to shower the entire stay and as a result, had to check out immediately (less than 12 hours after checking in) and find other accommodation. The front desk employee (Emily, I believe) was extremely rude in helping us find a resolution. When we were finally able to speak with her at the desk, we were told that facilities would be coming out, but it wouldn’t be until after 3 PM and we were fourth in line for similar issues that needed to be fixed. The only resolution we were told they could do immediately was showering in another room, but we would have to take all of our items, including towels and then walk back to our current room to finish getting ready. When we expressed our dissatisfaction and uncomfortability with that suggestion, we were told that’s all we can do so I asked for a. Immediate checkout & refund per the recommendation of a World of Hyatt customer service rep and was told by Emily, “I don’t know why you want to checkout, we are offering you a resolve and if you checkout now you’re were not giving you a refund.”Additionally, the rooms are very outdated and in much need of a renovation. There were minimal outlets in the space, and of the outlets present they were in very inconvenient places. Safe to say, our entire stay was horrible!

I reserved 2 rooms, 1 room the blackout curtains were detached from the slide rod and would not stay closed. We had to use bobby pins to keep them closed. The other room, the door would not unlock, went back to the front desk to get the key re coded. It still did not work, went back to the front desk again they came up and replaced batteries then it worked. We walked in and found a stained towel on the floor in front of the sink. The floor in front of the sink was wet and the sink had no running water and there was a bucket under the sink. We went back to the front desk and told them we needed a different room. The black out curtains in the new room were also ripped. The Ladies at the front desk did apologizes and got us a different room. So it took about 45 min. from check in to get a room that was usable. The rest of the stay was uneventful, the rooms were quiet. The breakfast was just average maybe even a little disappointing. The coffee was not hot and the food was limited, powdered eggs, sausages, hash browns, some fruit and Hard boiled eggs. They may have different things out at different times but this is what I saw while I was there. For the price you pay from this Hotel chain They fall well below what is expected from this Brand. Paying more and getting less is what we experienced.

Conviently located in East Lexington....tons of restuarants and stuff around. Josetta at front desk was forthright and helpful, very accomodating to make us feel at home. Pleanty of well-lit parking onsite, safe and secure. Rooms were nice, and comfortable with couches/sitting areas in most rooms. Overall very enjoyable stay for our twice yearly trips to Keeneland.

We had called and asked for adjoining rooms and was told it shouldn't be problem and a note was made. We checked in and the receptionist was quite rude about the request and said they were fully booked and could not accommodate. We had called a few months in advance. Our friend's bathroom was still dirty and had shaved hairs. Our room was very hot at night despite turning on the A/C. We would not recommend staying here unless you utterly have to for an event. Try the Courtyard Marriott nearby instead.
