Reviews
tripadvisorWe generally like Marriott hotels. While the location and dining were excellent, the room was inferior. Toilets and shower were dated and not handicap friendly. The hotel did not offer free coffee in the morning even if you were going to eat later. In room coffee was old style with fake creamer. Yuk. It appeared that the facility was renovated but the service was ignored. Never have I stayed in a hotel that did not offer free coffee to its guests.
MoreWas excited to stay here after a day of hiking, but quickly disappointed. Front desk was rude upon check in. We had paid extra for the breakfast and they were insisting we didn’t and would need to pay. After a bit of insistence, they found that information in the computer. When we got to the room, there was a dirty wash rag left on the bathroom floor. The shower did not drain and needed to be snaked by maintenance. The pool was closed, as was the elevator overlooking the river, resulting in disappointed kids. The room was gross and badly in need of updating. The location is the only good thing about the hotel.
MoreThis hotel is so run down. Wallpaper is peeling off the walls. It’s dirty and our sheets were damp. The pillows were old and very worn out. An employee tried to ask us to leave after making an error on the nights we booked as wedding guests. They argued that we had only booked one night. Our party did not receive a block of rooms and our room didn't even have two beds though we were a family of four people. Yes there was a pullout sofa but our rooms were pre-booked. When we asked to be moved they told us no because they didn't have the space. The traffic noise was so loud it was hard to sleep. The catering service from the hotel used the same potatoes as they served at breakfast. Nobody manned the buffet at the wedding and there were no drink glasses the entire wedding. We had to refill plastic mini cups in the heat, and during dinner, by getting up multiple times. The cake was not served at our tables or put out with the buffet. Breakfast was not available at 9:30am at the hotel because it had closed. And breakfast was an additional fee here. Do not stay here. The knot is lying to you.
MoreThis was the worst experience I have ever had at a Marriott property.1) this is a suites property with a kitchen with no dishes, utensils, cups, glasses, etc. Not even paper plates or plastic utensils. When I requested a couple of plates and utensils at the front desk, I was directed to the bar/restaurant area. The servers at the restaurant were not helpful.2) the breakfast in the Club Lounge was awful: petrified scrambled something, cold sausage, something that looked like bagel (the gentleman serving the lounge was wonderful and very helpful in spite of the poor food). I've had much better experiences at Fairfield Inns.3) during our 4-day stay, our room was cleaned ONCE, in spite of asking at the front desk each day to have the room cleaned.4) I had one chance to experience the evening cocktails and snacks (6pm to 8pm). I arrived at 6:00PM and shortly thereafter the service lady left the lounge for 10 minutes and did not bring out the beer and wine until after I had to leave at 6:20pm. Why not have the employee show up at 5:30 to make sure that everything is ready at 6:00PM.5) on our last day the AC stopped working in the upstairs bedroom.6) on the last day of our stay (June 30), I went to the front desk to discuss these problems. I asked if I could get some additional bonus points. The supervisor, said, it is already in the works. So far there has been no response from anyone at Marriott.
MoreThe only thing positive was our restaurant experience which was excellent. The room faced the highway and even after taking my hearing aids the constant noise of traffic continued throughout the night. The bathroom toilet was not cleaned properly if at all. Two of the lights in the room did not work and the mattress has seen better days.
