We always look forward to our stays at the Hyatt house Richmond on our many trips to Richmond to visit family. The location at the beautiful short pump mallIs perfect and the wonderful hospitality of the staff is always warm and attentive. We highly recommend Hyatt house Richmond!

Rooms we spacious and clean. Front desk was awesome accommodating. Only complaint was breakfast was less than desired. Coffee was empty most times we went down and hot food section was limited. Upside, the hotel is surrounded by restaurants and shopping you can walk to eat or drove under a mile and have more options.

Love the location of this property in Short Pump Center. Right outside the door is access to many moderate restaurants and upscale shops. The front desk staff members were uniformly helpful, pleasant, and accommodating, but housekeeping was disappointing. A buffet breakfast is included in the rate, but it is modest and the fruit was still frozen at 8:30 AM one morning. The buffet offerings are typical of a standard hotel breakfast at a Residence Inn or Homewood Suites. Our room (511) was dubbed the Fitness Corner Suite which came with a good-sized separate living room with television, an exercise area with a Peloton bike, mat, weights, and a roller plus a spacious entryway, small desk, and pantry area with a microwave and small mini-fridge. The king bedroom is compact with adequate storage, including a dresser with tv, a nightstand with a lamp on either side of the bed, and a small closet. The bathroom is large with a double sink, vanity with embedded storage, a toilet area, and a large shower. All good things!Aspects that could be improved: the windows in the living room are large and provide good lighting in the daytime, but the artificial lighting at night is not adequate. Guests are not allowed to connect their own Firestick devices to watch their own streaming services. In fact, they are threatened with a penalty it they attempt to do so. This was disappointing as it is one way to feel at home when you are away, especially at an extended stay property like this one. There is no shaving/make-up mirror in the bathroom, which would have been welcomed. Clunky rolling barn doors separate the bedroom from the living room and the bedroom from the bathroom; they don't always close properly and they reduce privacy in the bathroom.Housekeeping is not daily. We had to request a bottle of shower gel from the front desk because ours was not filled between guests. In fact, during our three-night stay, housekeeping never came to service the room on the day it was scheduled to be serviced. We had confirmed with the front desk that it would be serviced that day. But when we returned at 4 PM, the room had not been touched, nor were they able to provide fresh towels when we requested them at the front desk. When someone finally came to drop them off, the towels were still damp. The room seemed to be generally clean, but someone else's blue toothpaste was still in the bottom of the bathroom sink drain. All in all, the property is a very comfortable place to stay and we will be back, but some of the design features detract a little. And management/housekeeping need to ensure that guest rooms are not neglected.

Clean, well equipped and comfortable room in a good location with plenty of restaurant and shopping options. Very quiet room despite not being on the top floor (which is of utmost importance to this insomniac). Breakfast options varied slightly each day. Staff were helpful. Overall, one of the better hotel stays I’ve had in the past year.
