We just saw Anything Goes on opening night and it was absolutely outstanding! The entire cast was talented, but the performance of 'Blow, Gabriel, Blow' was the highlight for me—it practically had me out of my seat! The energy, the music, and the meal were all top-notch. Thank you, Candlelight, for another wonderful afternoon of theater.

The shows are loaded with wonderful actors. It’s the longest you will see the kiddos entertained. The orchestra is great. They do wonders to give you a great show. You will not be disappointed in any of the great shows they present. We always tried to go as often as we could as you would get great entertainment and food menu contained food choices the whole family enjoyed. We saw a menu change a few years ago that was very similar to the Boulder Dinner theater that eventually closed down after bad food reviews. We finally stop going when we realized we were stoping to get something to eat prior to the show or bringing food from outside to eat. We tried the show without the meal but it was not the same without enjoyable meal. We check the menu every once in a while to see if they have tried to improve the quality and selection of that we had enjoyed in the past but it hasn’t. So if you are looking for good entertainment and staff this is the place but if you are looking for delicious meal to enjoy with the show you will be disappointed the food along with the cost.

We really enjoyed Bright Star at the Candlelight. Every actor and singer was so talented. A good story and fun music. The band was incredible. Not a bad seat in the house. The food was mediocre, but the service was great. I had the vegan stuffed peppers that I did enjoy. Generous portions. My date had the meatloaf which was a bit dry and not very hot.

Our first experience at the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse and we saw Oklahoma! The show and acting/dancing was fantastic. Would have given 5 stars but the dinner leaves so much to be desired, pulls our rating down to a 3. We opted for the salmon which was overcooked and extremely fishy. We paid extra for our son to have the steak dinner which was huge, but didn't taste good. Ordered the chocolate mouse with berries for dessert which was very good. Our waiter was odd, long hair and seemed to be acting while serving us. He ended up flirting with the young girl next to our table all night, so not great service. We'd go back for another show. Wish we could just pay for the show and forego the dinner.

We have been season ticket holders for Seasons 15 and 16. We had lived in Southern California for over twenty years, and we have attended hundreds of musical theater productions in California. My husband and I were blown away by the exceptional acting in all of the shows that we have seen to date. The last we saw was The Secret Garden a week ago. Special shout out to our waitress and lead actress MaryAnn Laurie (Lily); fantastic job at both.I volunteered in a local Long Beach Community Playhouse for nearly ten years as a stage manager and light/sound operator. So I am very impressed with the casts for Candlelight. We have already purchased our Season 17 tickets and are looking forward to High School Musical, Always Patsy Cline, Scrooge and more. The food is good to very good, but you come here for the shows. One last comment: I have seen Cats four separate times in Southern California, and was amazed that although the LA productions were excellent, I actually preferred Candlelight’s version. The actors had you believing that they were cats. I think the more intimate setting was probably one of the reasons we all loved it. We had a party of six for that show, and everyone loved it. I only wish that I had seen it more than once.
