We had a doctors appointment for our child so we picked this location thinking it could be nice. Payed the extra money for a “1 king bed, River view, sofa bed, larger, High floor.” After making the booking we had to call and let them know we would not be arriving at their usual time due to traveling. When we arrived and got our room cards we found we received a much smaller room with 2 full sized beds, a view of a building thought a window only on the right side. When my wife spoke with the front counter they said this was the only room available and they couldn’t do anything in a tone of pure disregard and not having the care to help in any way. Meanwhile when we spoke to people on the phone per our arrival they said nothing would be a problem with the time of arrival. The fact you can spend a fraction of the expense and have a specific seat at a theater but not have what you booked in advance shows the lack of care for its travelers. I don’t see ourselves booking at any of their locations due to the pathetic customer service.

I expected much better from Marriott. On July 3, I checked in and found red stains on both the bed sheet and duvet cover. I reported it immediately, but instead of replacing the bedding, I was told to either change the sheets myself or switch rooms because housekeeping wasn't available. The second room smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke that we couldn't stay there. The third room also had stained bedding. I was then promised someone would replace the bedding in my original room, but no one ever came. The next morning, I reported the issue again. A manager asked me to send the photos, which I did, and assured me it would be taken care of. When we returned that evening, nothing had been done.I paid for a room with two queen beds, but because one bed remained unusable, my 13-year-old son and I had to share one bed for two nights. We were in Portland for his tournament and booked this room so we could both rest comfortably before and after his games.I have photos documenting everything. Finding stained bedding is unacceptable, but ignoring a guest's repeated complaints for two days is even worse. Extremely disappointing, and I won't be staying here again.

If I could give this hotel 1 million stars, I would when we arrived. We arrived to the wrong location in downtown Portland and they very kindly understood and then directed us to the correct spot. Every person we interacted with was so friendly and caring and genuine. And you can tell that they actually enjoy their job. We had an issue with a food delivery service and the hotel staff was very considerate about our situation and and the staff cater to our needs, but giving us a few snacks on them unprompted and just out of the niceness of their heart. Along with this, we originally ordered a one bedroom room and we were so kindly gifted with a two bedroom room with a fantastic view out the window. I just wanted to share my appreciation for this hotel and would recommend it to anyone that wants to stay in downtown Portland for a reasonable price.

Looks like a nice hotel but it really is not. I checked in and as soon as I get to our room the TV is damaged. The room was dirty. There were toothpaste marks on the mirror. There was dust on the desk and cabinets. The shower doors were dirty. So they switch us to a different room. The room was slightly bigger which was nice but then I see the bed sheet have blood stains on them. I call for new sheets and when they deliver them they just place it on the floor and expect me to put the sheets on myself. Also when I go down to do laundry, their washer machines & dryers are dirty. I expected better from a Courtyard Marriott. Overall for the price, it’s not worth it. Location is pretty good, there is a food truck park in walking distance.

I stay at Marriotts exclusively. It was good because of the staffs’ courteous manner. On Checkin was not offered options of points or food voucher? Or Bottle water. My bathroom had hair in the sink and the tub. There was no Shower Gel in the dispenser in the shower. Next time I hope it will be an excellent rating.
