We were driving through the area and had some time on our hands. We looked on TripAdvisor and found this Art Center and we were so glad we did. The staff was very welcoming and gave us an overview of the featured artist and also of the building - an old Post Office. Be sure to go downstairs where they have a Picasso and a few Dali’s. A beautiful display space and lovely people. Donation box is at the door.

I am so impressed with this center. Very relaxing for walk through and enjoy such beautiful art. Close to town square so you can walk around the square and shop, stop in for a bite to eat.

Beautiful old post office that has been turned into a wonderful art space. There are two floors. The current exhibits were so interesting. The staff was very accommodating. We will definitely go back.

While I am not an art critic, this was an enjoyable deviation from the day's schedule. There are two floors with about 4 rooms of art. Apparently art of local artists is displayed for around 6 weeks and then changed for the work of other artists. So this is a place to be visited every couple of months at the least. The art is well displayed. It is well lighted and spacious. The facility is well maintained and the staff are kind and helpful. The Center has a schedule of events for repeated visits and activities for children. There is no admission fee. There is place to give donations and the artwork can be purchased. We spent about an hour and this was sufficient.

The Johnson Center brings in exhibits from both local and world-renowned artists. It's a great place to introduce students and people of all ages to new techniques and ideas about the arts.
