Saw the Vortex rock ballet during Art town in July 2017. Nice venue, especially the restrooms (very well mantained)8

We could not have asked for a better place to see randy Newman. There is comfortable seating and lawn seating as well. Surrounded by a park this location is a jewel. There were food and drink vendors right on the premises. We drove 3 hours to see this event and made it an overnight getaway. We would do it again.

We have gone to music concerts here as well as cowboy poetry events. Both have been stellar events. There is both seating with chairs and lawn seating. Low back chairs are allowed. There is plenty of room in the park by Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater for a picnic beforehand. The amphitheater is in the Bartley Ranch Regional Park, which is a very nice park.

Saw Clint Black here summer of 2015. Really great place for a concert. Bring low back chairs. The chair Nazi's will come make you sit on grass if chair blocks the view of those behind you. You might bring a blanket to sit on the grass. Either way be cautious with the locals. Check out Bartley Ranch website for do's and don'ts.

What a wonderful surprise when we found the Robert Z Hawkins Amphitheater. I googled Mary Chapin Carpenter on a monthly basis to see if she was performing near me and low and behold she was playing in Reno and I was going to be there. She was absolutely fantastic and I wish she would have sung all night, but it was the venue that was a treat. It is tucked in the mountain in Bartley Ranch Regional Park, and provides great sound and comfort in a small setting - only 1000 people. We had seats (they only have 400) and the rest is grass seating. No matter where you sat, you would have a great view. We are going to schedule our next visit based on next years schedule. If you have never been there, you MUST go. You will not be dissapointed
