I was staying in Stamford for a work trip, and I’ll be honest, my expectations going into this were not very high. I figured that if there was a clean bed, some towels, and a serviceable shower, I could survive one night for $75 and never come back.Let’s just say this was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. From my room, I could hear loud clapping and moaning coming from the room next door, which made it nearly impossible to relax. Then I noticed roaches on the walls of the shower. When I turned the shower on, the water came out brown for about five seconds before eventually becoming clear. The soap dispenser was empty, and the shampoo was so low that it took several minutes just to get enough out to use. Before I could even finish showering, the water turned completely freezing cold. The experience with the front desk was also extremely uncomfortable. The employee who checked me in made comments that I felt were inappropriate and seemed to be hitting on me. When he walked me to my room, he also tried to enter the room after I had opened the door. I found the whole interaction extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate. And then I noticed a blood stain on one of the pillows. That was the last straw. I grabbed my bags, left the hotel, and ended up spending the night in my car rather than staying in that room.I understand that this is a budget hotel, and I wasn’t expecting luxury for $75. But there is a huge difference between a basic hotel and a hotel that feels dirty, poorly maintained, and uncomfortable. If you’re considering staying here, I would seriously recommend spending the extra $50–$60 to stay somewhere else. I’ve stayed at the Marriott down the road before and, while it wasn’t perfect, it was significantly better than this experience.Never, EVER again. I especially would not recommend this place for families with children.0/10. I left before even making it through the night.

I booked the Red Carpet Inn Stamford through DayUse for approximately five hours, so my experience was a little different from someone staying overnight. For a short daytime stay, the hotel served its purpose. The room was spacious and functional, with a large bed, desk/work area, television, closet space, and plenty of room to move around. It gave me a private place to rest and recharge during the day, which was exactly what I needed.Check-in and check-out were straightforward, and my interactions with the staff were pleasant. I didn’t have any issues with the service during my visit. The main drawback is that the property is clearly older and could use some updating. There is visible wear throughout the room, and the bathroom in particular could benefit from some maintenance and renovation. There were noticeable marks and discoloration around the bathroom and on some of the walls. The property isn’t luxurious or modern, but that wasn’t what I was booking it for.I paid $86.50 through DayUse for approximately five hours. Considering I only needed a room during the day rather than an overnight stay, I found the arrangement convenient and practical.Overall, I’d give the experience 4 stars. It’s not a hotel I’d choose for a luxury getaway, but for a short DayUse stay when you need a private, functional room for a few hours, it worked well for me. I would consider booking it again for the same purpose.

Worst place we have ever stayed. A total dump! Cigarette burn holes in the bedding, sticky carpet, and generally disgusting. My mistake not reading the reviews ahead of time. We only crashed for a night on our way back to NYC, but still a total buzz kill.

Overall my room was clean and well kept. The window curtain, though, was a bit tattered and stained. The balconies needed a good cleaning. The stairs need a new paint job. Otherwise the property is well maintained. The bed was comfortable. The water got hot quickly and stayed hot. The water pressure was good. I had a room with two queen beds. I had plenty of room to relax. There was only one chair in the room. Another chair or two would have been good if there were more people in the room with me. There are some restaurants within walking distance from the inn. Otherwise one needs a car to visit the area. There are multiple points of interest within a short drive from the inn. I was in the back of the property and was not bothered by street noise. During the day there was some noise from other guests. Yet the evenings and nights I didn’t hear noise from other guests. The staff was friendly, professional and helpful.

+Room was pretty decent. Very clean bath, clean bad sheets, AC and TV worked perfectly. Friendly front desk staff. - Terrible terrible breakfast- only cereal, some bread and make yourself waffles that were tasteless. Some juice and coffee but that didn’t help. No water to drink for breakfast only juice.
