tripadvisorFun museum on the main floor. Lots of local history. Check out the map to see what else there is to do. AND DON'T MISS OUT on John's place...OK County 66 right there in Arcadia. Go upstairs and check out the acoustics and craftsmanship in building this unique barn.
MoreExcellent and well informed tour guides! Free to visit and take pictures. A definite place to stop and explore the loft. The loft is an experience of how sound works.
MoreThis is a very unique structure on historic Route 66. A must stop and see when traveling the mother road. Also stop at The Chicken Shack across the street.
MoreThe barn is free to visit but donations are welcomed; a volunteer gives out lots of good information and one can browse an antique shop/flee market/gift store on the main floor; don't miss to go upstairs; it's a huge event space and only there can one get a feeling for how big the barn really is.Free parking and clean restrooms
MoreThis is a historic attraction along Route 66 in Arcadia. Opening hours are 10am to 5pm daily. Admission is free and you will find a decent size carpark in the back, just exit 66 a block or two over and make way to the back. There are public toilets available as well. The Barn was originally built in 1898. After decades of neglect, it was fully restored with a reconstructed roof in 1992 and is kept in good condition today. You can visit the upstairs where you will see the wooden deck space for fairly large scale events. It is worth a quick look-see. What is most interesting is the ground floor which is setup like a small museum with historical information about the Round Barn, the early days of Arcadia, Route 66 traveller business that the early 20th-century and related points of interest. There are time period artefacts on display that are nice to see as well as a gift shop area which is manned by volunteers. I really enjoyed my 20 minute stop and visit of the Arcadia Round Barn recently. They are doing really good job breathing and keeping alive this interesting bit of early Oklahoma and Midwest history here.
