I do not usually do this, unless it is a positive experience. However, I have to say that I had a very, very bad experience with trying to buy a Christmas gift from Booth #20 from the Peddler’s Mall in Lexington. Now, this is in no way a review of the lady who actually did make this right. So, I went there to purchase a vanity for my family member. When I got to Booth #20, I saw a really nice, very pretty, vanity. It was black and white with a black mirror. The price posted on this vanity with the attached mirror was $65. I went up to the front to buy this vanity and paid the $65 posted on it. I was given a receipt that had the item purchased, which was a black and white vanity, with no mention of a mirror, for the price of $65. My son took the receipt and placed it on the vanity. In the meantime, I told them that I was in my car and that I had to go get a truck to come back to pick up the vanity. They said that was ok. We left the mall and I got a phone call from the front desk, which was where I had purchased the vanity, because the people who rent the booths are not there in person and you have to pay for everything up front at this desk. The person proceeded to tell me that there had been a mistake and that I had purchased only a mirror and that the vanity was not for sale. I go back to the mall to see what was going on. When I got back there they said I could only take the mirror. I tried talking to them and telling them that I had purchased the vanity. However, they said that it was not what I had purchased. They insisted I only bought a mirror. So, I’m quite frustrated and I go to my car. I called back and asked to speak to the manager. I explained the situation and she said she’d call me back. She called back and said that they explained what had happened and that there was nothing that she could do. I decided to get out and look at the receipt that my son had put on the receipt after I paid for the vanity. It was written down that I purchased a black and white vanity for $65. Also, on the back of the mirror was a price tag for $24 for a mirror. So, I called that lady back and told her about the receipt. She once again told me that she’d call me back. She called back and said that the vanity was not for sale, that there was a mistake. She told me that she would refund me the money for the vanity and give me a gift card. It was too late to go back then, but she told me to come get the refund and gift card the next day and to return the mirror and that the vanity was of sentimental value and that the owner of the vanity had taken the vanity out of the building I go back to the mall the next day. I go to the front desk and told the lady that I was the one returning the mirror. She knew of the situation, but proceeded to ask me what I had been told was going to happen. I told her that I was told I was going to get a refund of $65 and a gift card. She had a weird look on her face and told me that the owner of the vanity had decided that I could actually get the vanity if I still wanted it. I had my mother with me and asked the lady if I could show it to her first. She said I could. We go to see the vanity and the vanity was not a vanity at all, but a gray and white stand like a hallway table. I was very surprised, because that stand was not the vanity I had purchased. It was gray and white and was totally different than the vanity. I go tell her that the stand I just saw was not the same thing as what I saw and purchased the day before. She told me it was. I asked her if she saw the vanity that I had purchased. She said yes and that she had helped the owner carry the vanity out of the building the night before. So, I said, so you know what it looked like, helped carry it out and you’re going to tell me that the stand over there is the vanity I purchased yesterday. She had such a look on her face like oh crap So, I was pretty insulted at that point. I felt like they were trying to call me a liar and that they thought I was stupid. Anyways, she proceeded to give me a refund and the gift card, which I very much appreciated. I was still kinda upset about them trying to lie to me about the stand being the one I had bought. I called the manager of the Peddler’s Mall back to let her know what had happened. This was a different lady from who I had spoken to the night before. I told her how I had been lied to and made feel like I was stupid. I was not wanting anything else, I just wanted them to be aware of how Booth #20 was treating their customers. She told me that it was all a misunderstanding and a miscommunication. So, I told her that I would be doing a report and review. We continued to walk around the mall so that I could use the gift card. I was not sure if I had a certain amount of time or whether I could only use it there, so, I wanted to go ahead and use it for Christmas gifts for my child. As we are walking around, the lady who had lied to me and given me the refund and gift card approached us. She then told us that corporate had called and had told her to ask us to leave. That in itself was insulting, especially, because I had my mom and my kids with me. So, as for the mall, I have no issues with, but BE VERY AWARE OF THE LADY WHO IS SELLING HER STUFF IN BOOTH #20!!!!! As you can see what is posted in picture this in indeed not a vanity at all

Disappointing. It wasn't at all what I expected. It was more like a flea market than a unique shopping experience that showcased Lexington.

Very nice and clean place, staff are helpful and friendly. It was not to crowded on Sunday afternoon when we visited and has pretty of booths, prices on items are good

Anything you could possibly need, they have it here. You could definitely spend all day here looking at everything. It is three floors of a shoppers paradise. It is like the building and booths never end. I am so glad we had a few hours to lose and chose to come here. It was truly an excellent experience shopping here. Do not miss it if in the area.

We have been to many that are a lot nicer. A lot of unkept booths here. We didn't find anything worth buying at this one. I would not return.
