MoreTaller Puertorriqueno is in a brand new building that has its own parking lot in North Philly. It has the capacity to host art shows, community events, and has a hispanic-themed gift shop. It also has children's programs. We were there to see the show Paradise has no Memory of Rafael Villamil's paintings and other works-- Artist and Architect Mr. Villamil was born in Puerto Rico, worked for architect Louis Kahn in the early part of his career, and has lived in Philadelphia for decades. The space is well designed for art, even large works as in this exhibit. The neighborhood offers a taste of other cuisines and is definitely off the ordinary tourist track.
