We discovered Fannie Rose's store one winter while looking for the popcorn that is sold all summer long in the Duluth Harbor. Once inside the store we were overwhelmed with the wonderful smell of popcorn but also the incredible selection of candies and the best chocolate ever!. The Duluth mix is a cheese popcorn and caramel corn and is very crispy and SO good!. I have also purchased select pieces of chocolate as a special treat. We visit each time we are in Duluth.

Fannie Rose has an extensive inventory of candies that date back to the 50's and 60's and are often unavailable in most places. For example, they have Valomilk candy cups and Mexican Hats spice drops, both of which are rare finds these days. They also carry a wide range of more conventional candies and chocolates. Unless you are jonesing for some old fashioned treat, I would not say this is worth a special trip, but if you are going by it is definitely worth a stop. Not cheap, but you don't want to spoil your supper by eating too much anyhow.

I went there for the popcorn. The prices were not bad. They have specialty popcorn such as the Duluth mix and the regular popcorn. I went with a large regular popcorn since it was within my budget. The popcorn was great. They also have a lot of candy as well. The person working working the counter was nice as well. I would recommend stopping by.
