Capt. Erika Ritter, who has grown up on the riverbank and still lives there, gave us a fantastic and informative two hour pontoon boat tour. Capacity of her boat is 6, so we brought two other couples. They can't stop talking about how much they appreciate us inviting them!

What a blast! Captain Erika is so knowledgeable about the past history of the Ocklawaha River and it's current condition and struggles. The scenery was beautiful and we saw alligator sunning on a log; two dozen species of birds; aquatic lilies and other vegetation and historic ruins. She stops at most of the landings and uses a double ramp for disembarking. Every safety precaution possible was used. The six of us sat in chairs with seat cushion under a roof canopy, mesmerized by the beauty of the river. She has an onboard potty with privacy curtain and was prepared for most any event. I highly recommend this trip. Worth every penny! Tips: Schedule for morning; wear sun screen; bring bug repellant and your camera.

We had a great time with Captain Erica on our river cruise. She has wonderful knowledge of the Ocklawaha River and the whole family enjoyed it. It was very relaxing and informative. The booking process was easy and convenient with our schedule. I would definitely recommend taking this tour if you are in the Ocala area.

We were a family of four, including a 14 yo boy and an 18 yo girl. We had a very relaxing, enjoyable time. Ericka is a deep resource of knowledge about the area and we learned much more about the ecosystem of the river and the surrounding area, along with the history of the waterways. We were shown many animals, too, that she picked out of the surrounding that we never would have seen. We all highly recommend Ericka and her tour.
