tripadvisorTo be totally fair, the bed and shower were good, the room and lobby were clean, and I've even stayed here in the past without issue. So what's the problem?Their customer service. When I needed it, I found out it does not exist. I arrived after 11 PM and wanted to go to bed. But first, I needed to get the special dietary food I carry with me into the fridge. The room I requested had one. But, it wasn't on. I tried a different outlet. Nothing. The fridge didn't work. My next step was to just get a bucket of ice for my cooler. There was a bucket in my room, so they must have an ice machine, right? I went to the first ice machine I found and it also did not work. I went to the front desk to ask if they had another ice machine. No, they don't. I asked if there was another room available with a working fridge. No. The person at the front desk sort of apologized, but made no offer at all to help. Thankfully, my food was still a bit cold in my cooler, so I took a chance, went to bed and got up earlier than I wanted the next morning to get ice at my own expense. I did not have the opportunity to let the person at the front desk know of my issues at check out because I was in a hurry after a short night. Interestingly, I was also not asked how my stay was, which is also very rare for hotels. Maybe the person read the notes the night shift person took and decided to avoid engaging? I don't know, but I have since emailed the hotel twice at the address on my receipt, and also submitted the survey I received from Choice Hotels, and have heard nothing back in a week's time. This leads me to believe they do not care. So, after my third summer in a row staying here, this Sleep Inn has just lost a customer. If a manager responds to this with the usual, please give us another chance the next time you're in the area, we'll work to improve based on the feedback you've provided, etc., please know that unless a refund comes with that offer, I won't be back. This was a major disruption to my night and to my sleep after seven hours on the road. This Sleep Inn failed to deliver an amenity promised at booking, and did not make any effort to accommodate a pretty basic need.If you don't require any customer service during your stay, chances are you'll actually be just fine. But if you do, don't expect any help or any sort of follow up to make the situation right. Very disappointed in my most recent experience at this Sleep Inn.
MoreThe thing the jumped out at us was the wide variety of breakfast items from which to choose. The Belgian waffles were excellent! It was disappointing that the ice machine was broken but two different employees worked to give us what they could! It was also disappointing that the pool was closed.
MoreThis place had many items that need to be maintained/fixed. To name a few-AC wasn't working properly, the staff member at the front desk said my room number out loud causing a security issue since there were many people in that area, no hair dryer, the water fountains didn't work, the ice machine didn't work, peeling wall paper and paint throughout the hotel, a few holes in the wall in our room,. We stayed in a sleep inn on the way to our trip in another city and it was wonderful and this one was nasty and not well maintained at all.
MoreThe pictures tell the story…. I would recommend you checking your beds before climbing. Absolutely disgusting! You only get one hand towel and two bath towels with two queen beds.
MoreDon’t even think of staying at this nasty hotel. Staff were the crudest, rudest. Rooms were dirty and smelled bad. Air conditioner not cooling, TV not working. Bathroom was nasty. Dresser drawers would not stay closed. Find another place to stay. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
