tripadvisorMy sister in law picked this place based on price and the pictures provided on booking.com. we only needed it for one night. We wouldn’t even be in it 24 hours. Pulling up was a little sketchy and I should have known when it was 6pm and the office was closed and I had to use the night window. Even though the sign on the door said office closed at 7. If the staff doesn’t even want to unlock the office in daylight how do they expect customers to feel safe? The window is so thick it’s hard to communicate with the staff in the other side. The young Lady working was nice but looked like she hated her job. No one was really out when I got there. I went to my room #202 only to turn on the main lights that went on then went dim then 20 minutes later got bright again. The room is old and outdated but for $60 what could I expect. The room smelled like an old used car/cheap cologne, it was so strong. About 30/45 minutes later my sister in law got there and when I left my room to meet her there was so many shady people hanging out in the parking lot playing music and hangout out outside their rooms. We left to eat dinner and decided to leave and book another room at a Marriott property which was double the price but well worth it for your safety and sense of smell. I told the attendant which this time was an older gentlemen that I was checking out due to not being satisfied with the room and not feeling safe. He said “they didn’t do refunds” and I said “that was ok I would dispute it with my cc company.” It was way to hard to hear him through the glass so I just left the key cards in the slot and left. This is the only picture I took. I had a video but I couldn’t load it.
MoreI am just love with this place. Best budget priced hotel. Front desk and housekeeping are very helpful. Rooms are spacious and homely. Quiet in nights. fast and free wifi. Bedsheets and linens new. Fresh and aromatic. Just perfect for 60. totally worth it.
MoreWe need a place to stay before our early flight out of IAH. Since we only there to sleep and get to our plane the next more we were not looking for a 4 star hotel. We read the review here on Trip Advisor and can only assume that they are FAKE or manufactured. From the moment we drove up I knew it was a mistake. At 7pm the check-in area was closed and we had to register for a thick glass window. As we walked to the room we were harassed by the some of the other hotel guess (local transients). The itself room looked some what clean. We left our bags in the room and when to find some dinner. Everyone was very upset and feared about stay the night is this hotel. Returning after dinner we found the night people had came out to play. Car were racing up and down the small parking lot. All of us agreed that this was no place for a family to stay and LEFT. I turned in our keys while my family huddled in the car.
MoreLike the quietness. Quick check in. Friendly night staff. Super clean and cosy rooms. Big car parking space. Well lit and clean compound. Toilets spacious and neat. New tv and carpet. Easy to use key cards. Comparatively reasonable price and fine service. Infact much nice than expected for such price. Totally loved it. Would be a regular from now on.
MoreI chose this hotel sight unseen, based only on internet research, and stayed a week. As it turns out, after driving up and down the FM 1960 main drag, I soon saw that several other nearby hotels offered similar facilities and amenities, so when I returned to Houston after a weekend in New Orleans, I chose another place at $10 less per night, which included a minimal breakfast. No breakfast is served here. WiFi was OK. In fact, OK is about the best I can say about the place, except for value, which was a bit less than OK.
