Hotel Covell Hotel

Housed on the plush Hollywood Boulevard, the Hotel Covell is surrounded by an aura of comfortable luxury. Owing to its geographical location, it is one of the choices of stay for members of the music and film-making fraternity in LA. The hotel is designed to embrace a more independent staying option for the guests, and leans more toward an apartment-style theme rather than a hotel. It is equipped with a top-notch bar with the same name that serves excellent beer and wine. Each of the five suites are uniquely furnished and are inspired by European-American cities. Perfect for both short-term and long-term stays, Hotel Covell is an ideal getaway from the bustle of the surrounding city.

Very comfortable suite with large bathroom and walk in shower. Excellent service by personable reception and bar staff. Good food & drinks on site, and many walkable restaurant choices. Perfect location for concert at The Greek Theatre with easy uber access. A bit pricey, but in line for a small boutique hotel. Others mentioned street & restaurant noise, and some homeless - true, but it’s a vibrant neighborhood with many locals out walking and enjoying the great location. Will stay here again.

Hotel Covell is one of those rare places that feels unforgettable from the moment you arrive. Every detail is thoughtful, from the beautifully designed rooms to the warm, welcoming atmosphere, and it feels more like staying in the home of a very stylish friend than at a hotel. The location in Los Feliz couldn't have been better. We spent our days walking to incredible coffee shops, amazing restaurants, and charming boutiques, and it was the perfect home base for exploring Los Angeles while still feeling tucked away in a neighborhood with so much character. What truly sets Hotel Covell apart, though, is the hospitality. The team genuinely cares about their guests and goes above and beyond to create a memorable experience. Their kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on us, and it's clear they take immense pride in what they've created. This was one of the most memorable hotel stays I've ever had, and I already can't wait to come back. Thank you for making our trip so special!Linsi and Jade

This hotel was such a surprise! We loved it. Comfortable and quirky. We were happy every time we returned to our suite (Chapter 1). The staff were charming and helpful. Free parking included, not to be taken for granted. This was our favorite hotel to wind up a 6-week trip across the U.S.

This is a cool hotel in a hip and fun part of the city. It has a very European vibe and with that vibe comes the things that make funky hotels in Europe (and anywhere) not exactly the most quiet places to stay. If you are under 30 and can sleep through anything- you won't be bothered at all. However, there is a bar downstairs, a coffee shop, a taco bar (really great food by the way) and a lot of street activity/outdoor dining going on. The wine bar closes at midnight but people were outside mingling and talking (loudly) until well past 2am. And then at 6:30am the staff of the coffee shop starts arriving and making noise. The windows are not soundproofed so you can hear every car that drives by. The rooftop area in back can be used for private parties- which happened while we were there as well. So we basically got no sleep. The amenities are nice- a fridge, pour over Chemex coffee maker, lots of space to spread out, large bathroom. The area has great food and shopping and is easy access to a few Los Angeles spots (Griffith Observatory for ex). I would suggest a room that isn't on the street and inquire about private events on the patio if you are in the rooms that face the parking lot. The staff are incredibly helpful and gracious and it was easy to get anything we needed. A fun place to stay if you are not a light sleeper or just enjoy the buzz of the city!

Pros - Beautiful design, great location in East Hollywood, FREE parking included (1 car), Le Labo bath products, lots of bath towels provided, hypoallergenic bedding provided before check-in upon request, full-size fridge, kitchenette very helpful.Cons - There were ants in and around the bed and on the kitchen counter, the room smelled like coffee (coffee shop downstairs), and we could also hear the coffee machinery clanging while the coffees shop was open. The seating areas in the room were also uncomfortable.
