We are justice-impacted people who roast award winning coffee that you can rave about. You get the best coffee possible, we get something we believed impossible: the chance for a new life. It's a win-win situation! :) We sell direct to consumer and we are different than most coffee companies in several respects: 1. Our social mission…we are more than just “open” to hiring people with a felony conviction, we actively pursue them as full time permanent employees. 2. Quality… because most of society views people who have a felony as being in the bottom 1% of society, we source raw coffee beans that are rated in the top 1%. 3. Freshness… There is nothing like truly fresh roasted coffee. Every order placed by 11:00 am Central is roasted and shipped (or personally delivered) that same day. 4. Impact… we are not setup to generate revenue and then donate the excess to a worthy cause, rather we ARE the mission. We are the post-prison people who sell, roast, package and ship the coffee. We have gainful employment directly through the work we do at I Have a Bean. We are so driven by freshness that our roasted coffee does not sit on shelves in grocery stores, nor in warehouses waiting to be purchased. We don’t roast ahead and hope to sell. We roast your coffee after you order it and ship it that day. Nobody has coffee that is fresher or higher quality than what we provide. Nobody.
