tripadvisorBeen before, always been great. My kids older so hard enough to get them to go anymore, but this was our last time sadly. Most the employees lovely but of course one had to ruin it for us. We did not want to get on Santa line obviously if there was one cause they are older, nor did we want to make younger kids wait longer or risk having one of my kids say something like there is no Santa so i asked if it was the same way to walk if seeing or not seeing Santa. She did the nasty eye roll, raised he voice and said Santa is not here today! My kids were so shocked. I nicely said ok we didnt know that. etc. etc. me thinking maybe she misunderstood or though i wanted to cut the line. Still the nasty look and no apology or its okay. etc. So we went through.(all unhappy now), and on way out when she saw me picked up her phone and either called to cover herself or just pretended to call and said really loudly so i can here how there were so crazy people up here asking stupid questions.! anyway guess this family tradition is over.
MoreAmerican Christmas is a magical experience for the whole family. There are many opportunities to take lovely holiday photos. There are many beautiful displays set in pretty settings on one floor. Two other floors have items that can be bought. There is an elevator and parking in front of the building. Tickets must be bought online and you can choose your time slot. Santa is there for the children on certain days and times. Ticket proceeds go to charities that benefit the children in Mt. Vernon. Phone number is 914 663 0600.
MoreVisited American Christmas this past Sat. One must get tickets online to enter. It is a warehouse that has been converted into a Christmas experience. There is parking on the street and there are three floors. The first floor is where you enter and that is a gift shop of all items related to Christmas, you may even take a peek into the warehouse. The second floor is some Christmas items that you may buy for if you would like to decorate the outside of your home. The main attraction is Santa's Village on the third floor. There is an elevator for those who cannot take the stairs. Santa's Village is amazing and I believe every child would love it!
