tripadvisorWe LOVE Penzeys!!! Wonderful people and business!!! Not only are the spices superb- they stand for our democracy Let’s show them some love
MoreWhen Kamala Harris visited yesterday, I took interest. However, I'll never visit again due to a statement I heard that Republicans ARE NOT welcome there. I'll take my business where I am welcome!
MoreI have been a loyal customer of this spice company for years. Their products have always been a staple in my kitchen, and I appreciated the quality and flavor they brought to my meals. However, I find myself at a crossroads, and it's difficult to reconcile my affection for their spices with their recent shift in focus. It's truly disheartening to see a company that once prioritized community values pivot towards a politically charged agenda. The spices may still be great, but the essence of what made this company special seems lost. In recent years, their communications have increasingly taken on a political tone that feels alienating rather than inclusive. It’s not about which side of the aisle you sit on; it’s the manner in which they convey their messages that deeply concerns me.Receiving an email from them that delves into political commentary—particularly when it criticizes one party while advocating for a particular viewpoint—was the last straw. My expectation was a simple, non-partisan encouragement to vote. Instead, what I received felt like a divisive lecture rather than an invitation to participate in civic duty. This approach not only alienates half of their potential customer base but also fosters an environment of division instead of unity. In a world where businesses play a significant role in shaping community values, I believe it is crucial for companies to remain neutral and focus on their core mission. When a business strays into the realm of politics, especially in a manner that touches on sensitive issues, it inevitably risks losing the support of customers who feel marginalized or attacked.Because of this change, I find myself unable to support a company that prioritizes its political agenda over the community it once served. While I will forever cherish the flavors they brought to my cooking, my respect and support for their brand has diminished. Until they return to their roots and focus on what truly matters—their customers and community—I will reluctantly seek alternatives for my spice needs.
MoreSeems they care more about politics than products. I commented on one of there Facebook posts and they deleted it and blocked me.
MoreI truly can't say enough good things about this company as a whole, their mission statement is one of the best in the corporate world and they have won my heart and my business for life. That is why this stop was actually on our itinerary when we were visiting, I don't live near a Penzey's and wanted to see an actual store and peruse the shelves. There were a lot of things I have seen online, but the staff was able to explain things in much better detail and give examples of use which was extremely helpful! We left with quite a few small jars of goodies as well as a jar of Annatto Seeds and information on how to use them. We spent quite a bit longer in the store than we expected and we learned a lot. The staff is fantastic!! If you like cooking I highly recommend stopping in for a visit.
