This is a great convention center located in downtown Anchorage. Near to restaurants, the Performing Arts Center and inexpensive garage parking. The third floor offers tremendous views of the Chugach Range.
MoreI attended an annual meeting of a national organization with about 400 attendees, including spouses. The facility is beautiful and the views from the second and third floors are wonderful. We had a large meeting room for our meeting with breakout rooms on the second and third floors. The staff was friendly and helpful. Meals served from the kitchen were very good. The location downtown is perfect for attendees and is close to hotels and restaurants.

MoreI recently attended a conference in Anchorage that took place in this convention center. Besides the organization (impeccable), the building/infrastructure was a highlight. The convention center has three floors, and some spaces are configurable, allowing to create different rooms for presentations, lectures and meetings. There are other fixed spaces which can be used for different purposes. The ground floor (huge space) was used for commercial exhibition and poster presentations. This is a nice space for events.
MoreMy husband and I picked the center because it could hold 200 people for both the reception and ceremony. I started working with Brandy and she was dream! The food tasting was excellent which is rare with convention centers. Brandy left and we had Sara who was just as awesome. It did worry me a bit to have someone new come in about 75% through the planning process, but those worries went away. The staff and servers were so kind and wonderful! Only a few things went haywire, there were supposed to be 5 of a certain dish cooked without an ingredient, but only 2 had been made for the event. We asked for 5 for a reason as others in my wedding party could not eat the same thing. The other was a bag containing the linens was not returned, It was a bummer to find out, but not the end of the world to replace it.
