Have stayed in the past and keep hoping it would improve-unfortunately not the case. Hotel has broken door locks, and for years and exterior door that uses a rock to allow you to re-enter as scanner has not worked for years. They are/were pet friendly yet never have any pet supplies/trash cans near pet areas, hotel has declined rapidly, not sure how it remains in the Marriott chain. Recent stay they charged a $50 per NIGHT incidental fee, ($150 for me), while it wasn't an issue for myself, it did cause issues for several travelers staying multiple nights. I don't understand the fee as they don't have room service, a restaurant and the bar can limit charges to room, it makes little sense. This combined with the state of the hotel, trash areas, we most likely will not stay here again.

Don't let the sign fool you. This is a Motel 6 and not even a decent one. I've stayed at at least a dozen Alofts. It is, or should I say WAS, ALWAYS my go to but this one is trash. Despite the fact that there couldn't have been more than 3 other people in the hotel and our room was ready, we got there about 2:00 and were told by the VERY RUDE and condescending clerk that we could sit in the lobby for an hour or pay an extra $25 over the already inflated price we paid, which was way more than advertised. We needed to put our bags up so we reluctantly agreed, figuring maybe a manager would not enforce this ridiculous charge. The room was so trash-no cover on the duvet which also had multiple large holes in it, the room had been cleaned but just barely. We came back from dinner Friday night and planned to have drinks at the hotel. Since NO ONE else was there, we got our drink at 9:20 and was last called at 9:40. Then employees ordered drinks just after 10:00. The bathrooms downstairs were not cleaned or stocked the entire weekend, had no toilet paper or paper towels and no one seemed to care. I wouldn't stay here again for free. Hope that extra $25 was worth it to you, Aloft.

I generally don't write negative reviews, but this was one of the worst experiences I've had and at $185/night, I'd advise against it. To start - the location's described as downtown, but it's in more of an office park and you must drive everywhere. You can walk to Dave and Buster's, but that's about it. The hotel itself was run down and not clean. The pool was closed and I was travelling with my child. The hotel was under construction - as in the wing adjacent to my room - but not secured. The sliding bathroom door wouldn't close and provided a 2 inch gap you could see through and did not lock. The towel hooks and toilet paper holder were hanging off the walls. I booked this through a third party and upgraded to include breakfast, but this apparently is not an option at this hotel. And to top it off, the A/C in the room stopped working and we had to switch rooms mid-stay, and rather than being upgraded, our bathroom was half the size as our previous room. We were only there for one night - all of this in less than 24 hours. When I brought this to the hotel's attention, they said there was nothing they could do because it was booked through someone else. I tried to call Marriott and was disconnected, but they essentially said that I needed to call said third party, and although they took my contact information, no one returned my call. I contacted said third party and they offered me a courtesy discount of 20%, due to the lack of breakfast - which roughly covered the breakfast upcharge, but not any of the inconvenience. It appears there is nothing more to be done about it, but I'm not happy, so here I am.

I stayed here the night prior to a wedding. I had a spray tan, which ended up getting on one regular towel and one face towel. They charged me $50 for damaged towels. I’ve called multiple times because it’s hard for me to believe it cost them $50 to replace these towels. They said they’re trying to wash them and will let me know if it comes out. I doubt they will, because they’ve told me multiple times the owner, Navin, will call me back… well this is now happened three times. I am loyal to Marriott because of the service, but this is ridiculous. Horrible customer service and no willingness to help. I’d understand maybe $10 for the towels…. Very frustrating.
