tripadvisorNot Great. The air conditioner barely worked, the window shades didn't work at all, and they charged us four times for parking (twice on two different credit cards!) It was extremely difficult to drive to as many of the streets downtown don't allow turns. I'll not be staying here again.
MoreThis is my go-to hotel in Omaha. It's clean, comfortable and -- if you get a room that is not facing Dodge Street -- quiet. I like having the extra space of a full kitchen. And the hotel is generous with upgrades for a Titanium member, when possible. Years ago, I had an issue with this hotel honoring late checkout, but since then, that's never again been a problem: Staff is always willing to honor the benefit. This is part of the Midtown Crossing development, so there are lots of restaurants, etc., within walking distance. I'd it's nice outside, Turner Park is also literally steps away. One thing to note: Parking is $15 a night in the attached garage. It requires a separate QR code and can be a little finicky.
MoreI booked a hotel based on a clear “Free Cancellation” advertisement, but was then charged a non-refundable fee. I canceled within minutes, only to be told I wasn’t eligible for a refund due to a hidden cancellation policy that contradicts what was advertised. This is a case of deceptive business practice. I am requesting a full refund of $142. I will pursue a chargeback, file formal consumer complaints, and leave public reviews if this is not resolved promptly.DO NOT BOOK WITH GUEST RESERVATIONS, they are falsely representing the Element, and when I called the Element directly, they were not helpful in correcting the situation.
MoreI can’t imagine a hotel less prepared for the largest event of the year for Omaha. My friend and I stayed here for two nights during the 2025 College World Series. This place and its management are obviously poorly equipped for busy periods. Upon checkin, we were told they could not give more than one key per room, otherwise they would run out. Huh? Later during our stay, when it became abundantly obvious that we would need a second key, we insisted, but got a second key that didn’t work. There were no sheets in the room for the sofa bed. To their credit, when we called and inquired, someone did bring a set of sheets to the room rather quickly. When they serviced our room, they took all of our towels and did not replace them. Also, huh? When we went to the desk to inquire, they said it would be a couple of hours as the maids had to arrived yet to start laundry. Another, huh? Side note, there were only originally exactly 2 of each type of towel for the room. Manageable, but just enough. No room for error. Overall we found the staff indifferent at best. Lastly, there were signs to a store, but after following several sign to get there, the store had apparently been out of business for quite some time. Maybe update or remove the signs so guest don’t make a decent walk for nothing. We enjoyed our trip to the CWS, mainly because our team won. If I were to come back, I’ll stay elsewhere and recommend others do the same.
MoreTo be honest, this hotel did not live up to the Marriott Bonvoy standard that I've come to expect from their properties. The hotel seems tired, with most of the surfaces in the rooms displaying years of wear and tear. Our first room didn't have a working air conditioner, only a temporary window unit. And no phone. We were moved to a different room once it was brought to the hotel's attention however, the new room had no control over the climate controls. Air conditioning was either high or low. The room was always cold. $15 a night for parking on-site while the automatic garage gate was stuck open seemed more like a suggestion, we witnessed several cars simply drive through the open exit gate. We booked a second room for my wife's family and they were made to wait in our room until 3 pm to check in. We stayed for 5 nights and paid an average of $200 a night, per room. I believe Omaha has much better hotels in that price range. We'll probably stay elsewhere on our next visit.
