New owners and a name change. Now called Grapes & Grains. Taco night tonight catered by Taco Boss. Very good 3 Taco platter and a glass of wine for $12.00. What a deal! Love supporting our local small businesses. Check this place out if you haven't been. Friendly place with great selection of wines and brews to drink there or by the bottle to take home or to a friend's.

Each first Friday of the month they have what the owner calls First Fermented Friday Charge is $25.00 which includes about 6 tastes and food. This is a lot of fun and this night in particular because the vendor of the evening was pouring only Pinot Noirs!! Yay!!Always a fun crowd. It's like the Cheers Bar where everyone knows your name or they will by the end of the night. The group is always very friendly and welcoming.

Saw they were having an all Rose' wine tasting on Wednesday(they have wine tasting every Wednesday evening) price was $20.00 for 6 tastes paired with some cheese. I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of this little wine shop off the beaten path. Wines were from different regions and it was nice to taste the difference and to help with my choice of which to purchase. Fun night and will definitely do again.

Was always a good place to grab a bottle when heading to a friend’s house. But as of the last month the pricing went up 40% to 65% per bottle. The justification for the price increase was that if you buy three bottles the patron would receive a 35% discount. So purchase three bottles and even with the discount still pay more per bottle than was offered at Wines of a Dime earlier this year? A bottle that we purchased for $17 is now $28 but remains $6.99 at the larger wine stores in the city of Temecula. So if the oddly named Wines on a Dime is now wanting to be a Wine Bar catering to clientele who will drink the wine in situ, I see the prices as being in line with the market. But not if this business is intending to be a retail wine store.

Took a friend here on Wednesday night for her birthday. Kathryn the owner has wine tastings with an expert every Wednesday. We tried 6 different wines which were all different and we paired with a spicy rice dish. It was really interesting how the food or wine changed the taste some good some not so good. Definitely will do again.
