From the minute I emailed Grizzly through my float - my experience with everyone was stellar. Between my initial booking via Rick, my conversations with everyone in the shop and of course fishing with Kincaid they all made it so easy and fun. Don’t forget to buy a fly and roll the dice for a bucket of flies! Nice shop activity to get you invested in shopping for flies. Thanks to everyone for a great experience. Kincaid, what can I say my friend you made my day. Your chill attitude with good overall instruction and advice was perfect for the amount of coaching I wanted that day. You definitely put me on the fish and had I been a little more in practice I would have hooked up 2-3 times more than the 20+ hook ups we had. That small batch of risers on the dry fly was so much fun and the surprise catch right when you stopped taking video was classic. I’ll never forget hanging with you on the water. PS - the sandwich for lunch was awesome!

We organised 3 days float boat fishing for a recent visit to Montana and had a fabulous experience. Our guide Sam was exceptional with total commitment to ensuring we had the best experience we could and indeed we did. We fished the Clark Fork River and the Blackfoot River and caught a great variety of trout species including Brown, Rainbow & Cutthroat Trout. We had not fished in Montana before nor experienced Float Boat fishing and both were excellent.All the staff at Grizzly Hackle were so customer focused and helpful from our initial enquiry through to our visit. The shop is also well stocked for the odd fisherman's treat! We also stayed in the Dry Fly Apartments above the shop which is excellent accommodation of a high standard and very convenient for downtown Missoula.

Amazing fly shop and guides... no brainer to book while in Missoula. Can't imagine a better set up especially for our group of 20. Top notch in everything including the hotel down the street or rooms above the shop.
