We had a wonderful, easy, experience with Explore Rentals on our recent trip to Yellowstone. Everything from booking to pickup and return was clearly explained and simple. Appreciated that we could pick the exact kind of car we wanted. We even stopped by the office to add a bear spray to our rental and they were super helpful and pleasant to deal with. Also, as a bonus - when we asked about a good restaurant they gave a great recommendation to a place we ended up going to more than once. Would gladly rent from them again!

We recently rented an Outback from Explore for two weeks - we were touring Yellowstone and The Grand Tetons with flights in/out of Bozeman. We elected to save the airport concession fee (10%) by picking up the car at Explore. Quick and easy Uber transport from the airport to Explore ($10 + tip) made this easy. We also elected to rent a cooler and bear spray from Explore. Since the Explore folks live in Bozeman they get it. The cars are suitable for the conditions and well equipped (snow tires in winter/ all season in summer). The car we rented was in excellent condition. Clean inside and out, all fluids full and tires properly inflated (I can't tell you how many times the name brand rental cars I've rented had no washer fluid or one or more underinflated tires) . Having the cooler and bear spray added to the rental just made it all easy.Friendly, helpful and efficient employees too.Frank

Our ski group has rented from Explore for several years. This year I rented 2 Subarus. I noted that we did not receive the returning customer discount which we have received each year. I called and was told that they do not give returning customer discounts and we had never received one. I have the receipts to prove it. The representative also told me that our group was a pain in the ass but they would still rent to us. Needless to say I canceled my order. After 3 weeks I still had received my refund. I called again and was treated almost as rudely as before. I do not know what happened to the company. Maybe success has gone to their heads. I certainly will never use them again.
