This museum – near downtown Birmingham – consists of the Allen House and the John West Hunter House. The John Hunter House has numerous period pieces on display and the guide appeared fairly knowledgeable about the house’s history. After a short walk to The Allen House, the tour became self-guided. Inside, there is information about numerous local sites, as well as a display about Jacobson’s….a store that had a major presence in downtown Birmingham for many years.
