This is a really great area for special events and things to do for every member of the family. Check out the calendar for what’s coming when you’re visiting the area. Every weekend there’s a huge Farmer’s Market that is definitely worth strolling through. No admission fee and dogs are welcomed. So many great vendors and a ton of grab and go food options. Take it to where you are staying or have a picnic on the grass. The last time we were there they had an ice cream festival. For one admission price there were activities to participate in and performances to watch. BUT, they also had two different areas where you could enjoy all you can eat ice cream. Some of the usual, popular flavors and some a little more creative offerings. This was definitely a fun experience for adults and children.

Lovely green space at downtown Vancouver WA. We enjoyed the sculptures, seating, and green space. Very close to the waterfront, an easy place to spend a short hour or so on a sunny afternoon. A lot of family enjoying the park, very clean, no homeless people wandering around when we visited.

I was suprised at the number of homeless. Many looked like they had drug or substance issues. We were here for the Jazz festival. I thought Vancouver had cleaned up a lot more. Very disappointed I wouldn't recommend it.

It's a very lovely park! Esther Short seems like an incredible woman based on the info boards that were placed on the one side of the block. Within walking distance of the waterfront, which is also nice.
