Originally the headquarters of the Pennsylvania Savings Fund Society (PSFS), this fantastic hotel boasts comfortable rooms, wonderful service, chic yet historic decor, fully wired rooms for business travelers, and packages for romantic weekend getaways. A red neon sign atop that says PSFS, marks the skyline as a historically significant landmark and the best of early 20th Century design and architecture. Since it's located across the street from the Pennsylvania Convention Center, advance reservations are recommended.

Reviews
tripadvisorService at Loews Philadelphia was impeccable. All staff members were friendly, accommodating, and genteel without being stuffy. We felt pampered. Room was clean and well maintained with luxurious touches (bedding, bathrobes, bath products). Bank and Bourbon provided variety (standards mixed w creative dishes), and the food was well presented and tasted great. We found that dining service was prompt and attentive even during the busy breakfast hours. Overall, this is a well-run hotel with understated elegance. The location was convenient for our planned activities, and we enjoyed staying in a historic skyscraper w magnificent views (especially of City Hall). The only downside was waiting for the elevators to higher floors during busy times, so plan your time accordingly.
More★★★★★ Exceptional Service from Angel!I wanted to take a moment to recognize Angel, a room service attendant at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, for his exceptional hospitality.Angel was incredibly kind, helpful, and gracious throughout our interaction. His warmth and genuine thoughtfulness made what could have been an ordinary room service experience feel truly special. It’s the people who make a hotel memorable, and Angel is a wonderful example of what outstanding hospitality looks like. I hope the management team recognizes what an asset he is to their staff.Thank you, Angel, for making my stay in Philadelphia that much more enjoyable!
MoreAnother great stay at the Loews. Amazing location next to the train station and Reading Terminal Market. Rooms are modern and clean. Staff very friendly. Lobby nicely decorated. The only negative was long wait for the elevators - half of which seemed to be broken.
MoreThis hotel is near the Reading Terminal Market. Our room was nice, with a large bathroom and a pretty good view of city hall. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The heating and cooling system for our room was tricky, and we would turn it on or off when needed (the hotel can set it to heat or cool, but not both). There was also a brief malfunction with our room keys due to a software update. Our bed was ok, but not great. Overall, though, I think it's a good place to stay.
MoreI was a bride this past year, we had our reception at The Ben Franklin Ballroom, and all of our guests stayed at the Loews hotel. They messed up my room, the brides', and a significant number of our guests' rooms. There was a 4:30 a.m. wake-up call in my room that I did not request. None of their elevators worked the morning of my wedding, resulting in many unforeseen problems. Their employees could not assist in any way. I have never written a review before, but the Lowes Hotel was the only issue with my wedding, and I had to warn other brides.
