My Husband and I visited Boston during Memorial Day for the first time and we stayed at Bowers House B&B in Somerville. It was amazing!!! The location was few blocks away from a train station and we also got to explore Somerville as well. The hosts were so kind and helpful. Steven gave us a map and helped us plan our trip. Our room was very clean and well kept. I am very picky about bathrooms and usually that’s what I check first but bathroom was so clean had fresh set of towels and everything we needed. I highly highly recommend Steven and Christina’s place. They are so kind helpful and flexible.

My wife and I stayed at Bowers House BnB recently and had a great experience. The hosts were very friendly, the continental breakfast all we needed, comfortable bed, and the room (and the entire BnB) was super clean. Davis Square is a pleasant area with multiple restaurants to choose from. There is a Red Line MBTA station less than five minutes’ walk from the front door, and a bike/pedestrian path that worked well for a morning run. We would definitely stay here again.

Could not ask for a better experience! Location cannot be beat! Block off Davis Square, where there's also a T stop. So plenty of bars, shops and restaurants minutes away. Our room, while small was comfortable and immaculate. Had all you need. Very comfy bed, plenty of pillows, towels, iron and ironing board. Nice Continental breakfast. 24/7 coffee and tea. They even had half and half in the fridge!! Also fruit available. But this is all even exceeded by the warmth and hospitality of the hosts, Christina and Steven! We thoroughly enjoyed our morning chats and couldn't imagine staying elsewhere when in the area. Highly recommend!!

Booking accommodation in Boston for a reasonable price is not an easy task but I stumbled on this little gem of a place. I am glad I did….Arriving by the ‘T’ after figuring that out, the B&B is a 5-10 minute walk from Davis Square station. We arrived late but communication with Christina was excellent and there were no issues regarding entry. Our room was presented nipping clean for our stay. It was a comfortable room with everything you need for a stay. At this moment in time daily housekeeping is on hold but if you speak to Steven or Christina, they will assist on a refresher or extra towels etc.Breakfast was a simple continental affair but with enough to start your day. We had a very early start on our last morning as our flight was a ‘early bird’ back to the UK. Steven said we could use the kitchen and help ourselves to breakfast which was much appreciated and helped make the early start easier. I wish all places could assist their guests this way…..By the way of hosts, Steven and Christina were absolutely superb. Steven was extremely helpful with tips and was a pleasure to chat with on a morning. What he doesn’t know about the Boston area, isn’t worth knowing. If you are arriving by car, parking is straightforward and free. The B&B is an easy walk from Davis ‘T’ station if you are arriving by public transport. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby which is a big help. Sadly the Davis Square area felt a bit sketchy and has few homeless people wandering around but they don’t really bother you. Bowers Avenue did feel safe though and the only thing was the occasional noise from Elm Street sometimes woke you up. Overall though it was a great place to stay and would return again with no issues at all.

We chose the Bowers B&B as our son has lived on the border of S. Medford and Somerville now for a bit over a year now and we wanted to spend a weokend with him over Mother's Day weokend. The location in Davis Square was perfect for our visit as we wanted to experience the neighborhood he lives and works in. It happened to be the weekend of the Somerville Porch Fest, which highlights close to 500 bands performing on porches and yards all over Somerville! It was fabulous! Christina and Steven were our hosts and are a great resource for adventuring and tips on the area. Our accommodations were clean, neat, and we particularly liked that we were able to make use of visiting in the kitchen and living room common areas with our son during a break from the action. It also served as an excellent meet up location each morning. The breakfast offering is self serve with a variety of fruit, pastries and cereals, juices, milk, tea and coffee. We had everything we needed and will definitely be returning in the future for visits that we look forward to with our son and his partner. Wee Highly recommendi!! Thank you Christina and Steven for your fine hospitality! Cheers and All the best until we see you again!! Gwenn and Ken
