tripadvisorThere is Frisbee golf and a state-of-the-art Community Center. We love to go around dusk so that we can look for wildlife from the car. We have seen all sorts of things out there! It's exciting! At Christmas time, EVERYTHING is lighted with Christmas displays!Don't miss Chandler Park!
MoreSaw the posts about the new splash pad (which is awesome, clean and fun!—-we went midweek and there were maybe only 30-40 kids there) Took our boys, 9 and 11, to hike here instead of Turkey Mountain. Shady, rugged trail with lots of beautiful rock and boulder formations with views of the Arkansas River. Unfortunately, there is quite a bit of graffiti on the trail, with some trash on the ground, making this amenity feel uncared for. It seems the park is being renovated, which is good, because there is a lot of wide open space, dotted with pavilions and picnic tables. The park has a lot of potential, with the elimination of older pavilions (off the roadside) and “eyesore”-like structures to be a sure help!
MoreGreat for children through middle school. Out two grandchildren in 2nd and 5th grade loved this place in the middle of Chandler Park. There are two large outdoor shelters with grills. Each shelter has around 10 large metal tables with seating. The play area and splash areas have several features (see pictures). There were also food trucks and snow cones to purchase. New and clean restrooms. We spent two hours. There are also some great hiking trails and scenic lookouts.
MoreThe is a new addition to Chandler Park. The playground and splash areas are great additions to this park in West Tulsa. Well worth the drive. There were around 150 children there. Park opens at 10 a.m. Two large shelters with around 10 large tables and several grills just outside the shelter. New restrooms. Our grandchildren 2nd and 5th grade had a blast.
