Love fishing. Beautiful beach and atmosphere. Lots to do to enjoy nature's scenes. Baby sharks are amazing to see. Enjoy this alot

small local beach, parking and restrooms just short walk to beach, nice fishing pier. Not at all crowded. We would have stayed longer but jellyfish happened to have been bad at the time.

The beach was clean and beautiful with plenty of benches to relax on. The pier was very long, so no one felt crowded while fishing.

Basic and does have a beach access, less tourist traffic. Great local fish spot possibly. A large wood pier is present. Good boat watching.

I was concerned about the BPA level that was in the water. My husband fished from the pier but didn't catch anything. I am a good swimmer, and I swam with my snorkel gear at the beach. The water was murky, So I couldn't see more than 6 inches in front of me with my mask on underwater. There was an industrial chemical smell that pervaded he water. BPA is a chemical that may have serious health risks. It is sad what pollution is doing to our beautiful water resources here in Virginia. Unless the water is cleaned up, I would never return to this beach. The high tide current was very strong near the pier even on the left side, and although there is a sign in the water not to swim past a certain point to the left of the pier, the current can pull you past the sign. I had to swim as hard as I could to avoid being pulled under the pier toward the bridge, grabbing onto the piers to pull myself back to shore with my hands. Without my fins I may not have made it back to shore on my own.
