Why Hand-Washing is Essential for Your Investment Not all cleaning methods are created equal. Standard carpet cleaning services often rely on industrial machinery and harsh detergents that can be catastrophic for antique wool and oriental rugs. These methods destroy the essential lanolin in the fibers, leading to brittleness and permanent fading. Bedford Rugs specializes in the professional care of Persian, Tibetan, and all fine wool area rugs. Our experts use a gentle, hand-wash approach that safely removes deep-seated grit while protecting the structural integrity of the weave. Experience the difference of a professional clean that brings out the true richness and softness of your fine textiles.
