I got there 15 minutes early but the receptionist took so long talking to other guests about herself that she made me late to the appointment by the time I was finally checked in. I was super rushed to put my things away/put stuff into a locker/get a robe on/etc. that it really made the entire experience a stressful one. Then, when I checked out, the same receptionist told me she was too busy with another client (on the phone) and was sorry she kept ''putting me off.'' I get a lot of massages. The massage was very subpar and for what you pay, overall it was an extremely disappointing experience. I will not return. There are many other places in the area that give you much higher quality massage with better customer service at a lower price. Bummer! I don't think they are very concerned with the occasional guest here at this resort and that message was sent pretty clearly.

A disappointing deep tissue massage with a therapist that gave ideas, opinions and medical advice instead of a relaxing, therapeutic massage. A manicure that peeled and chipped the next day! Definitely not worth it!

Spa cancelled my August 11 mani-pedi with Debra Brown, only a week before the appointments which we’re booked 3 months ago. Receptionist cited absence of nail techs (including the very talented Debra B I guess) and failure to give timely notice to clients because of “falling out of management” whatever that means. She could not offer me new appointment dates with anyone. Debra B had worked there for over 10 years and was the best in the business. In my opinion, based on several 2022 experiences with the Spa, the Boar’s Head Inn Spa management has a lot to learn. I will not return even if they manage to eventually hire nail technicians and feel sorry for the bridal parties and other Inn guests that need services.

I have been going to Debra for manicures and pedicures for many years. She is a really nice person and is very skilled with nails. It's always a relaxing and fun experience. And my nails look great!The spa has operational problems I'm glad that they stopped using the online booking because it was frustrating and very time consuming---It's hard to find a time to call at when someone answers the phone. I leave messages and don't get a call back. When I went a few weeks ago, the signs stating the spaces are reserved for spa parking were covered with vines and hard to read. The lot was completely full and I got the last space. This was on a weekday! And there were only 2 other guests at the time. If you get a pedicure, you can't park far away. BHI needs to be sure there is close by reserved spa parking! If not for Debra, I would go someplace else where its easy to make reservations & you can be sure you will get a parking space.

I have visited Debra Brown for pedicures at the Boar’s Head Spa for years and would follow her anywhere. She is a treasure. However, it is difficult to get an appointment with her as the phone rings and rings with no one picking it up. A message assures you your call will be returned but never is. After finally reaching a live person I made an appointment and was told I would have an e mail confirmation within 20 minutes. It never came so on the day before my appointment I called to reconfirm. Again, no answer. I left a message asking for a confirmation. Never heard a thing. I will keep going because of Debra but the frustration of dealing with the reservation process is seriously annoying.
