A typical tasting and purchasing olive oils and basalmic vinegars type store. They have a wide variety to taste and purchase by selecting the size of bottle to fill. You can even bring your own container to fill as long as you know the size in ounces. The bottles you buy there you purchase once and then just pay for refills. They also have additional prebottled flavors available to purchase that at least doubles the available choices. The freshness of the products is obvious, if you have an experience with this type of store. They also have teas and pastas to fill out your purchases. If you don't already have a favorite store of this type or just enjoy trying out new oils and vinegars it is worth a special trip if you are in the area.

We love this little shop! The owners really know their stuff. Lots of gourmet oils, condiments, pastas, and best of all, aged vinegar. They sell empty bottles so you can fill up. The good stuff is in a cask by the register. Aged 20+ years. Imported, reasonable cost. It's so good it's like dessert. Great for gifts.

If you love food and/or cooking this is a must stop in New Paltz. They have a large selection of different vinegar and olive oils as well as salts for you to sample. What is great about this store is that they also support local and regional products tea/sausage/honey. It is nice to see that New Paltz has a different type of store that has to do with food among the myriad of restaurants and hippie boutiques. It is worth buying the refillable bottles if you are planning on coming back and purchasing again.

This place is a must for all. Natives and visitors be sure you go here. Cory may be there if he is not at the Beacon store or K&E Beer or fighting fires. You may get lucky and sample some of delicious cooking. There are 2 stores that you can taste the best olive oils and vinegars. They have so many delish varieties that you can sample before your purchase. Just like fine wines that speak to you differently...here's a place that is dedicated to highten your palate to great olive oils and balsamic vinegars. My wife and I went to the store in the town of Beacon(their second store) located at 257 Main Street, Beacon NY 12508 and had the most informative and yummy experience. We walked away purchasing 2 bottles of the most delish vinegars that we've tasted in awhile. Of course my wife liked the grapefruit balsamic vinegar and I totally adored the Saba vinegar. There were more choices but we decided we'll start with these 2 first. You get to purchase the size bottle you want and then allowed to fill them...how much fun is that? In the future you can return with the bottles to get them refilled again without purchasing another bottle. It's like a gourmet fill-up of your choice...again what a delightful way of keeping the clientel and costs down. Kudos to Donna and Cory Wirthmann, mother and son proprietors of these 2 lovely stores. Please note that this place is not a restaurant but a olive oil and vinegar retail store. They also have spice rubs, organic pastas, salts, and many imported items too numerous to mention. Please drop in to check them out...you won't be disappointed and probably walk out with some filled bottles of your choice.
