We never miss at least one noon piano recital, as the musicians always are excellent & the music appealing. This year 2 of the pieces were enjoyable, however one long piece by an obscure, supposedly popular somewhere, composer represented the worst of modern music consisting of persistent pounding of the keys with no hint of melody. We will be more careful selecting concerts next year assuming the programmers come to their senses.
