tripadvisorAn amazing place to visit. So glad we found it! Nice views, amazing Sunset and of course the dolphins great place for kids to play and families to walk and fish.
MoreIf you want to see dolphins up close go sit on the sidewalk near the water and wait! It won't take long to see tons of dolphins scattered near and far. We went there multiple times during our week long trip and no matter what time of day or night the dolphins were our!
MoreSince we live nearby in Corpus Christi, we visit Roberts Point several times a month. It is right by the free free from Aransas Pass. There is lots to see here: a Pirates Ship for kids, deep sea fishing boats coming and going, fishermen on the jetty, dolphins surfing in the wake of big tankers, many birds and much more.
MoreWe arrived just as preparations were being made for the Santa Claus Parade. One set of public washrooms was closed but there were porta-potties on site.We enjoyed watching the many fishermen at work and spotted a couple of herons and egrets. But the dolphins were the main attraction with at least four moving in and out of the harbor and around the small boats coming and going. We were also fortunate to see a big ship being piloted through the channel. Something for everyone here, highly recommend!
MoreWe live nearby in Corpus Christi, so we drive to Port A several times a month. Roberts Point Park is near the ferry landing, so if you are coming across from Aransas Pass, make this your first stop, especially if it is a nice day. Our most recent visit was in early October, and there is lots of construction work underway and a new children's playground will be installed soon. So things look a bit in disarray. But still, this is a great place to watch the big ships come and go, watch dolphins play in the water, see fishermen, watch tour boats, and birds.
