I am so happy to share that my experience with Fun Cat Sailing Adventures was absolutely unforgettable! Sailing around San Diego Bay was the highlight of my week. My friends and I were thrilled to see sea lions, seals and dolphins as well as a stunning sunset. Captain Ryan made the afternoon incredibly special. I cannot wait to go out again! Highly recommended!!

We had a very disappointing experience with Capital Matt and the Tigress today. On a bay full of rentals, I highly recommend going with a different tour operation. We were celebrating my dad’s 80th birthday. Unfortunately, one of our passengers, a shy 20 year old female suddenly got seasick and didn’t completely lean over the side of the boat. Matt’s only concern was telling her to throw up off the back of the boat. Several of us immediately tried to assist her with finding something to help her clean herself off and get her to a better location on the boat so the sea sickness would lessen. Sadly she was mortified and ran to the bathroom. Matt was increasingly rude and biting in his comments about her throwing up “everywhere” and “all over the bathroom”. We were trying our best to get her out of the bathroom and to the front of the boat where she might begin to feel better. He continued to berate her and the situation became very uncomfortable. She was so embarrassed, had never been on a boat, wasn’t familiar with what was happening to her and he just continued to bully her and make remarks against us for worrying about getting her toilet paper to wipe her face. He didn’t want her to use the toilet paper, he wanted her to use to paper towels. (Does this matter when someone is actively vomiting??!!) I asked him to stop and just give us a minute to get the situation under control, his yelling at her wasn’t helping. I told him to get off our back for a minute so we could take care of her, he decided to cancel the rest of the charter and return to the marina. He was so unprofessional and childish. He slammed the controls on the boat into gear to take us back to the marina.My poor niece was humiliated. The back of the boat was cleaned up, and I would have cleaned up the sink in the bathroom as well if the faucet was working. There was no gigantic mess, it was minor and easily cleaned up. There was absolutely no reason for Matt’s behavior.Matt’s inability to handle this minor situation in a calm professional manner makes me seriously doubt his ability to handle an actual emergency. I would never put my family’s safety in his hands again. He was completely unprofessional and unable to articulate any clear directions when flustered by a little vomit.In the end we lost a little under 2 hours of our 3 hour charter because of this. Money wasted and a sour experience for my Dad’s 80th.Buyer beware, unless you can choose your captain, do not book with this charter

My fiancé and I took our bachelorette/bachelor party for a sunset sail and I’m so glad we did. It was everyone’s favorite part of our weekend trip. Highly recommend!

A great evening sailing with Captain Matt, whose passion and expertise clearly was a highlight of our time. He was extremely safety conscience, insuring that all guest had an enjoyable time. Captain Matt was extremely hospitable His relaxed laid back approach was refreshing as he shared information about the different sites on our cruise.I highly recommend you request Captain Matt for your upcoming cruise with Fun Cat Sailing Catamaran Adventures!
