This consummate wine shop founded by three friends and wine industry veterans offers an inviting atmosphere for wine purchasing and tasting. Wines from around the world are featured here, with an emphasis on traditional growing regions including France, Italy, and Portugal. The shop hosts weekly events and classes on the history of wines and particular growing regions. Wine lovers will be delighted at the shop’s attention to detail, but the emphasis on provisions besides wine, like sake, chocolate, and olive oil, adds a nice touch of versatility.

tripadvisorThis place is absolutely the best, their selection of champagne and sparkling wines is pristine! I bought a bottle of a small batch champagne and felt in love with it! Super nice small little patio where you can seat down and enjoy some wine - buy your bottle and grab some snacks such as the marcona almonds and the artisanal crackers, the Italian prosciutto and some cheese - at the store and you are ready to roll. They offer a good selection of chilled bottles too and the service is outstanding - they will even recommend from their cheese selection which one will go with your wine! Definitely recommend for wine aficionados!
MoreGreat wine selection and the employees really know their stuff! they have wine tastings regularly. They also have the wine dispenser
MoreGreat activity to do with friends and family. The staff is very knowledgeable about wine and made it interesting and fun. We all learned something and it appealed to different ages, 23-60.
MoreGreat wine to choose from and some beer on tap. Rustic modern on the inside. Great for couples night or to play board games with friends. Relaxing place!
MoreThe Raleigh Wine Shop has several wine class offerings, but my wife and I attend their first one on rose wines. The instructor/owner was very knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about wine. He made learning about roses and its history in the US interesting and enjoyable. Additionally, we're heading to the beach in a couple of weeks, and now we have a new selection for summertime drinks. The place is a nice little shop on Glenwood South, where they source their wines based on their personal experience with the wines, vineyards, and relationships with wine makers. It's also walking distance to/from restaurants and bars. So, you can take a class and show off your new found skills while dining out, or you can grab a bottle on your home.
