Lovely outdoor walk with nice trails and plants to look at. Took some pictures with kids and family there as there were multiple nice spots

On my way out of town, I beat the 8AM Sunday crowd arriving. It was so serene I got down on my knees to sweep some fine gravel off of some hardscaped areas with my bare hands. I only walked the garden area next to the Visitor Center but would recommend a longer path - but be aware that there is not much cover in warmer hours. I first sought this Arboretum over a decade ago following the information sign at exit 104 to Henry Clay Estate (on Richmond Road) and Arboretum, failing to see another sign. Again this year, without Nav aid I headed up Richmond Road all the way to downtown never seeing a sign (which should be left on Man O' War 1/2 mile to right on Alumni.) It's only a mile between the sites, but as a resolutely bad navigator from the paper map age, I question the placement of additional signage!

Very beautiful and a nice little place to walk around and have a relaxing afternoon. There were many families having picnics in the grass and just enjoying nature.

A beautiful and peaceful place for a long walk. The day we visited had perfect weather: bright sun and a little cool. The park is divided into sections displaying plants from the different sections of Kentucky. Even thought it was purposely arranged it felt like we were walking through wild country. The paved paths were easy to walk on and accessible for everyone. The staff is very helpful.

Definitely get here early cause summer heat and this seems to be a place where people go to jog. So it gets car crowded fast and it likely has overflow parking but I didnt see any. Still a few spots left when I left an hour 1/2 later. I think a lot of stuff had played out already in terms of blooming but still had several things that were blooming which was nice to actually see. Make sure you bring and use bug spray and sunscreen and maybe a hat of some kind of if you plan on being out for a while. Easy to get to pay attention to the streets they do something weird in that area. Make sure if you plan to go during football season you check the schedule because I think their parking gets used during games. Overall worth a trip to checkout.
