We were celebrating my daughter’s college graduation. The trip was beyond our expectations from the ease of the hotel pickup, to the short plane ride to the island-hopping with our guide, Dave. Our fave experience was swimming with the pigs. We also enjoyed holding a nurse shark & engaging with the indigenous iguanas. Snorkeling & the pristine sandbar were added bonuses.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience so that other travelers can make an informed decision.I cannot recommend this excursion based on my recent experience.During boarding, passengers were instructed to remove their shoes before getting onto the boat. I was wearing sailing shoes that would have provided traction and protection, but after complying with those instructions and boarding barefoot, I slipped and sustained a deep laceration between my toes that ultimately required five stitches and multiple medical visits.What is most concerning is that after the injury occurred, I was not able to leave immediately for medical treatment and instead had to continue through additional stops before I could seek care. As a result, I spent the majority of the excursion dealing with a serious injury rather than enjoying the experience I had paid for.Throughout the day, I also observed multiple other guests slipping in the same area of the vessel. In my opinion, requiring barefoot boarding on a wet surface without adequate warnings or additional safety measures creates an unnecessary and foreseeable risk to passengers.The injury had a substantial impact on our trip. We paid over $1,700 for this excursion, yet I missed part of it entirely and spent much of the remainder managing an injury that required professional medical treatment. My girlfriend was ultimately forced to complete the experience alone while I sought medical care.Although the company reimbursed my initial medical expenses, they have not responded to repeated requests to address the significant loss of the excursion experience itself or provide any meaningful resolution beyond those direct costs. The lack of communication and unwillingness to engage on that issue has been extremely disappointing.Accidents can happen, but safety procedures, risk management, and customer service after an incident matter just as much. Based on my experience, I believe the company’s handling of both the incident and its aftermath fell well below reasonable expectations. I would encourage prospective guests to carefully consider these factors before booking and to evaluate whether alternative excursion providers may offer a safer and more professionally managed experience.

What can I even say, this was the most incredible day! DJ our tour guide was phenomenal- he knew so much, tailored the tour around us and just went above and beyond! All the stops were amazing, highlights being the pigs and the sharks! Honestly cannot recommend this enough, it is pricy but so so worth it and we will 100% be back again!

What an unforgettable experience! Our expectations were high on this trip but they were exceeded, and then some, by Bahamas Air Tours. The team were professional, friendly and happy to help with anything from start to finish. The flight from Nassau was just short of half an hour. Our pilot was very happy to accommodate all manner of questions from our kids and was very patient with them. On arrival at Staniel Cay we were met by Captain Ronnie and made the very short walk to the boat. Ronnie took us to Iguana Beach, Thunderball Grotto, Shark Island, the Sand bar and eventually the swimming pigs. The entire experience was absolutely exceptional and something we will never ever forget. The Exumas are magnificent with Staniel Cay and surrounds the jewel in the crown. We are very lucky to have been able to have experienced it and wish it could have gone on for longer!!! Thank you for making it possible.

I had the pleasure of joining a day trip with Bahamas Air Tours to Staniel Cay, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The organization was excellent, everything ran smoothly, from the flight arrangements to the guided stops along the way.Flying over the Exumas was absolutely breathtaking. Visiting the famous swimming pigs, snorkeling at Thunderball Grotto, seeing the sharks and iguanas, and relaxing on the sandbars made it a truly unique adventure. Each location felt pristine and untouched, a perfect escape from everyday life.The team was professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about creating memorable experiences. I appreciated the attention to detail and the relaxed atmosphere throughout the day.I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or Nassau. It’s a perfect way to discover the natural beauty of the Bahamas from an entirely new perspective.
